I wanted to get away for a few days around Thanksgiving. I’ve been on several RCCL cruises, and let me tell you, the thing you look for is the itinerary! This one has attracted a LOT of crazies and a lot of kids who are allowed to run up and down the corridors, slamming doors and yelling at all hours of the night. The people in the suite next to me have zero consideration for others and are VERY ...
Chose the cruise as it was on TG holiday but it seems the rest of the world chose it also. The ship was full and 1,495 (official count) were kids…in extended families and in groups. Had not cruised RC in a few years and found the food to be okay as was service but MDR choices were more limited. My Time Dining required a reservation and only late seatings were left. We were accommodated and ...
The ship was really old and our inside cabin on deck 3 was full of mold in the bathroom. The interior was from the 80’s and looked really dull.
The service was great though and the restaurants was really nice with awesome service from the waiters. The Theater was also ok and provided various of artists, real proffesional ones.
The solarium was humid but not that warm at all, which was a ...
I had been on this ship prior, several years ago, with my sister and mom. We had a great time.
This trip, my husband and a couple friends wanted to take a vacation. Initially we looked at an all inclusive but decided on this cruise as we wanted the Coco Cay experience (I had been there before).
We purchased the deluxe beverage package prior to boarding thankfully; otherwise we wouldn’t ...
A disappointment from arrival… Our family booked two rooms on the Allure of the Seas (picked this ship due to the time of sailing around a holiday). Getting into port parking was a nightmare. Apparently, there was a technical problem and the system crashed and they couldn’t charge for parking, so they had everyone driving around the parking lot with multiple lanes and merging them with no ...
Our family sailed with this ship two weeks ago, with the expectation that we would be able to sail to Nassau, Bahamas as part of the entire itinerary. Unfortunately, we never made it there due to their claim that the ship had propeller issues that interfered with their original plans. With this said, this review focuses on the amenities that the Anthem of the Seas had to offer, and made us wonder ...
I have been on allure 3 times. The ship still looks great after the refurbishing. I was on one of the first sailings and I have to day I don't feel it has aged. It is a great ship, with a great layout and really doesn't feel big regardless of its size. The neighborhoods really break things down well. the real change has been to service and food. The food is literally, hit or miss. I suspect ...
I had been on this ship two years ago and loved it. This time, not so much. Way too many kids for this time of year. Itinerary got changed twice. Food was generally abysmal. Very little recognition for being a C&A top tier member. Has really changed and not for the better.
The bright spot was debarkation; worked very well, everything flowed smoothly and very quickly. A nice change from the ...
The Bad....
Dogs now allowed (not just service dogs), sometimes without a leash. Eating off floor and table in dining areas. Kids licking salt shakers in Windjammer. Smokers on balconies. Groups taking over hot tub in Solarium for several hours with their boom box music playing loud. ALL of this was observed by staff with no one stopping it. Windjammer is far too small for a ship this size. ...
I’m currently on the Vision. To say the LEAST I’m disappointed and underwhelmed. The food has been disgusting and I can’t get iced tea after 10 pm or before 11:30 am. This is not my first time cruising on RC, I was on the Grandeur of the Sea before. My experiences comparatively have been night and day. The only thing that gets an A+ is our waiter in the main dining room (food also sukd). He was ...
