Booked this Cruise almost a year ago. Just returned home 11/26 through 12/03. Ship was Beautiful and Clean. There was a hiccup in the app for IOS, it would not allow for pre selection of Entertainment. Didn't even show Entertainment tab.By the time I figured out to try it in Windows. All of the shows stated "sold out" brought this to Royal's attention, they said book when you get onboard. Took ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

The Odyssey is a new ship with good staff. Chops and Giovanni’s had exceptional service and went beyond to provide a great dining experience. We went to the main dining on the formal night. The service was disappointing. It was not at the level we’ve experienced and expected. The food was ok. We were on deck 3 in a side area that felt like someone’s basement. Definitely zero atmosphere. ...

We got a good price of $399.00 per person. I woke up with projectile vomiting the first night after the prime rib. There are no bargains insofar as shopping is concerned; rudest witch ever in FACETS, the jewelry store. I guess she gave a "good interview" to get hired. I will give thanks to Jaime in guest services for finding gingerale for me. Thanks to Marko for helping me as well. Thanks to ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

This was our 35th cruise on RCL, starting in 2002 on Explorere of the Seas. We sailed on Oasis of the Seas on its' preinaugural cruise in December 2009 and many times since. After trying for many years we finally got our family to join us. It was the first cruise for the grandchildren and only the second RCL cruise for their parents and our sons mother-in-law. We really wanted to get everyone ...

Arrival & Embarkation Arrived FLL @ 9am. Met RCCL rep @ Baggage Claim for the prepaid transfer to Miami. Transfer was 1 bus from FLL to Miami that left around noon. RCCL & Celebrity. Embarkation took about 20 minutes even if you had downloaded your seapass. Cabin - Updated for an older ship. Adequate balcony with bed by the slider. Dining Day 1 Lunch Free options available were: ...

Could have been better

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

This was certainly not one of the better cruises we have taken on Royal Caribbean. We flew to Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday, 11/12/23 and got on the Royal Caribbean shuttle to Miami. We were a quarter mile from the Royal Caribbean terminal and the bus broke down on the highway. After sitting in the hot bus for an hour we transferred to another bus and was shuttled to the terminal. By this time most ...

Ship Was Fine, Passengers Not So Much

We chose this cruise because having been on Oasis Class ships three times in the past, we knew the features of the ship and had enjoyed it immensely in the past. We chose the first full week in November because we hopefully thought there would be less children as they should be in school. Boy were we wrong but first the positive aspects of the cruise. Our cabin was balcony on deck 8. The ...

First Time Cruisers - Read all of the fine print

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Independence of the Seas

I have not taken a cruise for 20 years and so much has changed that I consider myself a first time cruiser. I went with my sister and while the staff was fantastic, I learned the hard way that you have to research everything you can think of before getting on board and you must read the fine print. On the first day we stopped by the drink package table and the line was fairly long. Since I ...

Disappointing food, great ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Symphony of the Seas

First the good: The ship is huge and awesome. Felt like we were in a large hotel. Minimal sway on the “rough days”. Room a Central Park balcony was clean and had plenty of storage. Zero wind and nice music in the evening from the band playing in Central Park. Some random things I really disliked in no particular order: Upon unpacking, our cabin steward told us they no longer ...

Expected better but it was "sufficient" for the price

After speaking at length to an RC agent she assured me that sailing with RC would be a great experience and wonderful value. She mentioned that RC had been awarded best in class for the last few years. I told her I sailed once before on Carnival and it was Fabulous. She said this would be even better. Wish I could say it was. I won't sail with RC again. Parking was close and convenient. ...
