I did not selected this cruise. It was chosen by my partner and I respected his decision. The ship is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Due to the Pandemic, the ship had only 1,300 passengers while their capacity is almost 4,000.
The dining rooms were great but not the food. Being a seafood fan I expected shrimps, lobster and crabs but was disappointed. Crabs were never an option on ...
We actually went October 2021 and the water was very cold! The outside air was warm but the water in the wave pool was ice cold so we got to our ankles and then just went to the slides. The crew on board was AWESOME! However the clientele around us was horrible.
Food was good too. Their soda drink package is better than Carnivals. You get specialty coffee etc. enjoyed walking ...
Pros
Only 50% occupied and almost everyone was fully vaccinated

Cococay was a great private island

Cabin:
Cabin was decently sized but felt very outdated. Also the air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool.
Dining:
There was a decent amount of dining options available. Giovanni's was by far the best while Izumi's Sushi was a major let down. The bars were all very good, especially The Lime & Coconut and Vintages.
Embarkation:
Very fast and easy. We did sail during the ...
This was my 33 RCCL cruise, and my first time on Freedom of the Seas. This was a rebooked "casino" cruise from a cancelled 2020 cruise. The cruise from Terminal A at the Miami cruiseport. Getting onto the ship was a nightmare. Due to flight schedule, I wound up arriving at 10 am for a 1 pm "scheduled" check in time. There were MANY passenger who had to wait OUTSIDE in the Miami heat and humidity. ...
First I want to say we are grateful to be in the US were we still have some freedom. And we appreciate our contry and all she has to offer. The next information does not in any way share how grateful we are to be alive and well. It’s just our experience based soon to areas. One the COVID life and all that goes with it. Whether your a conformist or no. Two the standard that RCI promotes. ...
We wanted to participate in the first sailing, shame on us for assuming it would be special. We went in knowing there would be kinks but as a family we were treated like lepers. We all tested negative, the teens multiple times but still identified them with bands to make sure we were treated accordingly. Our dining team couldn't have spent any less time with us, so much money to be so ...
Dinner in main dining room - Excellent. We made our reservations the night before, or the morning of the same day of dining. Overall the food was very good. Service was great. Upon learning of dietary restrictions, the staff went extremely above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. Prime rib cooked to perfection.
Lunch as Mexican Bar - (included) - a great place to grab a meal or a ...
After having sailed on Princess, Carnival and the past several times on Disney, we decided to try Royal Caribbean. We decided to try out the Symphony because 1/ it has very high ratings among RC's fleet, 2/ we wanted to see what the world's biggest ship had to offer, and 3/ they ship stopped at islands we hadn't been to before - including RC's own CoCo Cay. We booked an outside balcony cabin on ...
We chose a cruise to Cozumel/Key West and shortly after booking the itinerary was changed. We ended up going to Key west/Nassau/Coco Cay. We did not want to go to Nassau as we had been there so many times before. The change was made months ago, and had nothing to do with recent virus concerns. We tried to get them to let us change to another cruise or to give us an onboard credit but our requests ...
