We chose the cruise because it checked every box. We decided late in the game to go and priced it out. The upgrades to the ship were great, the staff was excellent in answering our questions, and the entertainment was awesome. Our only two issues, which we really love when we cruise is to have a good time as a family (which we did), an have good food. Our waiter was not ever able to smile. He was ...
Why this cruise? Took place over mid-winter break for the kids from school, and we were able to take advantage of the Kids Sail Free promotion, making the cost of the cruise, and the 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater suite (Star class!), very doable.
Check-in and boarding was insanely easy and quick. Arrived at the port about 10:30 and boarding had already begin. Looking around the terminal, there were ...
This was my first cruise. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go again. The amenities were amazing. And the service was unmatched. Every area of the ship was spotless. And everyone was helpful and friendly. The lovely woman who kept our room spotless and made a new animal shape out of towels each day was fabulous! Her name was Sue and I cannot say enough about her service! The shows on ...
We were on symphony 4 years ago and booked as soon as Wonder became available. We really enjoyed Symphony, so figured we would enjoy the “improved” version. For the most part we really did. Obviously the ship was in tip top shape, still really new. The biggest improvement we found was the addition of the View Bar, amazing little spot that was welcomed. Awesome sea views while sipping on your ...
We were on the ship as part of the Park West VIP program. Our previous cruise ships were in the 2200-3300 passenger range or smaller, so this was a departure in size, over 50% larger than our previous cruises. For the most part the ship accommodates the number of passengers well but they didn't increase the number or size of the bars and lounges enough to take the increased passenger load into ...

We really enjoyed a fast-paced weekend getaway on the Freedom of the Seas. When the Freedom OTS first set sail in May 2006, she was the largest cruise ship in the world. In March 2020 just before the pandemic shutdown, Royal Caribbean spent $116M to amp the Freedom, updating her amenities and features to the latest in the fleet.

This was our second cruise on RCCL and the Allure, having sailed in December 2023 as well. We had another great cruise on Allure.
First, however, I will say that there were WAY too many kids for our liking. It's a lesson to us to stay away from booking holiday weekends again. We still had a very nice time, but I know many adults were annoyed at the hot tubs and adult only area, not to ...
Last year we went on Royal Independence of the Seas and we had a great time. This time we decided to go on one of their bigger ships Allure of the Seas. First we didn’t realize they did NOT have any water slides for the kids. They had a small splash pad area that squirted water but it was very lame. We were able to make it to the Aqua Show on the back of the boat on the standby line and that thing ...
This was me and my wifes first cruise. We went on liberty of the seas febuary 12-16 2024. The carpets in the hallways were warn and separating. Most of the fixtures and tables in the rooms had rust on them. The bed in our balcony cabin was the hardest most uncomfortable bed ive ever slept on. Who takes 2 twin beds and turns them into a king? You could put 7 mattress toppers on it and its still ...
My #1 criticism about this ship was the elevators...so really, that's a pretty good thing. That said, I don't recall a ship with consistently longer wait times than this one. I don't know what the reason for this is (programming maybe?), but it was enough that we'd usually end up bailing and take the stairs. Not a huge deal, but it would be if we had strollers/wheelchairs etc.
The Windjammer ...
