Not what we expected, left disappointed and disgusted with sneaky added charges

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

I have wanted to go on a Royal Caribbean Cruise for many, many years. I was extremely disappointed and had much higher expectations especially with Royal Caribbean. My biggest disappointment is with the food. I imagined it was going to be much better than Carnival (in which I said I would never travel with again) since the prices are so much higher and I have heard good reviews from friends. ...

A Poor Imitation Of Celebrity

My wife and our adult daughter sailed on Adventure of the Seas on July 6 to the Bahamas. This cruise was our birthday gift to our daughter, who had never been on a cruise before. My wife and I have been sailing almost exclusively over the years with Celebrity. We gave our daughter the choice of a Celebrity cruise to Bermuda or a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas. Both were for one week and ...

Not happy at all

We had a large group of 34 fanily memebers. None of them were happy with this ship. They have been on about 25 cruises and this ship was the worst. Games in arcade were out of order. Elevators were out of order. Refrigerator in our room didn't work. Bathrooms were out of order. Air conditioner in our room didn't work 2 nights. The line to get off the ship at Cococay Bahamas was not controlled and ...

This trip was my mother's first cruise and we wanted to show her why we love cruising so much. She has mobility issues and our accessible Jr Suite was amazing for the space and set up though it had a ton of wasted space. Stateroom 1608. The overall experience was great and she had a fantastic time, however being experienced cruisers, we found the crew on the new Mariner to be very ...

I was very disappointed overall entire cruise . The food was average . The lack of choices of women could go without having to pay to eat was minimal . The cleanliness of the ship was disappointing .My state room bathroom had a terrible smell of urine the entire time which my state room attendant tried multiple times to clean but he was unable to rid this smell. There was only one ice cream ...

Terrible experience - very disappointed

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

I had great expectation for this cruise ship and was very disappointed. First I thought that the food was not far superior to other cruises as I was expecting it to be thought it was just mediocre at best, we even purchased an upgraded dining package and still thought it was subpar food and service. Service in main dining room was definitely lacking. To make matters worse I ended up ...

We were on the fence about cruising to say the least. 2 kids under the age of 5 and a family that prefers peace and quiet, luxury in terms of vacations. The boarding process was the first indication this was going to be a long week. Lots of people, huge facilities, long lines. To RC's credit, the move through people pretty quickly and have the process down. You can tell they are used ...

All about volume not service

I am very disappointed in the ship and the cruise. I’ll list out my issues one by one. 1. There’s too many passengers on the ship. It was remodeled, but it seems they just added rooms. Days at sea are filled with fighting for elbow room with fellow guests. Long lines precede every single activity. With the exception of the gym after the first day, everything was packed. 2. The ...

Other than the ship being new, modern, and clean, the rest was a big waste of money! My biggest gripe is the kids club. THEY PUT 50 KIDS IN A SMALL SPACE WITH ONE COUNSELOR!!! My son frequents kids clubs everywhere we vacation and NEVER has he refused to go. It's like prison for kids as this one attendant tried to keep them contained by sitting still and playing group games. And, if they ...

Nothing special and horrible food

My family and I have been on 15 cruises but this was our first with RCCL. I really have no idea how this ship or cruise line gets high ratings on anything. The food in the buffet was the worst I’ve ever had. They really like curry and you better hope you love it too. We winded up eating burgers and hotdogs every time we ate at the buffet. Absolutely nothing appetizing there. No Asian station. No ...
