Too many passengers, not enough public space

Review for a Asia Cruise on Spectrum of the Seas

This was a back-to-back sailing for us. Our previous cruise was 12 days on Celebrity which ended in Singapore where this cruise was embarking. Royal Caribbean had been our favorite cruise line until we took the celebrity cruise. Throughout the years, the changes in Royal Caribbean have been more negative than positive to us. The long lines, the scarcity of available tables at the breakfast buffet, ...

Crowded and Disappointing Thanksgiving Cruise

Review for a Asia Cruise on Wonder of the Seas

Our family (My, Husband, 13 yo son) was excited to try the new Wonder of the Seas for our Thanksgiving cruise. We are platinum on Royal, but have never cruised on an Oasis class ship before and were excited to try all of the new offerings. Although we had some good moments, overall the ship felt way too crowded. We will probably not sail on a ship this size again. I will give the good and the ...

Wonder of the Seas - Thanksgiving Nightmare

Well, we just got off Wonder for the Thanksgiving Cruise. 7-Night Eastern Caribbean out of Port Canaveral (I don’t know why it shows the Asian itinerary at the top???) I will give you my absolute honest review. I was told there were 6700 passengers on board. 6700!!! So, knowing that number would probably push her limits, my expectations were already curbed considerably. First, the good: She ...

Disappointing cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Wonder of the Seas

I chose this cruise to celebrate our (hubby & I ) 10 yr anniversary and I thought it'd be fun to celebrate on the newest & largest ship. I've sailed several times on Royal, each time on the newest and/or largest ship. Of all my cruises, this was the most disappointing. The service (cabin steward, waiters, & guest services) was 5+ star. The food, however, was not good. Based on my past cruises, I ...

Only worth it for those who have never cruised and don't know any different

Review for a Asia Cruise on Spectrum of the Seas

Booked the cruise just 2 weeks before as I was due some leave and the fares were cheap. I have cruised on many different cruise lines from RC to Princess, Celebrity, Cunard and Crystal. This would be my 5th RC cruise and I already knew to lower my standards as I had done 2 cruises out of Singapore on Quantum of the Seas in the last 1 year and they were not great. However, this is the worst cruise ...

Quantum of Disease

To mention little of the potential causes of hygiene issues onboard, we were advised by medical staff to be quarantined to our rooms after consulting them following our children's vomiting and diarrhoea starting from our second full day aboard. While in-room movies were comped, it wasn't exactly our idea to board a cruise ship only to watch movies in the cabin. We had to miss out on the shows and ...

An awful experience

The one star goes to the staff - very pleasant , and always try to address all issues , another star does to the entertainers. Restaurants- we mostly dined in the buffet and main restaurant- food is like a 3 star hotel buffet. Is a cruise to Vietnam and there is no Vietnamese food . Even fast food items like hamburgers and grilled Panini are Poorly made . We also tried the paid teppanyaki ...

Will never book a cruise with RC again

-smoking area is situated next to swimming pools. Under a roof & not on open deck. Where children & families spend a lot of time. As an asthmatic I found this disgusting & a trigger for my asthma - billing issues , My advice track your spending & keep an eye on your account. Extra charges were put onto accounts such as pool towel usage $100 & alcoholic beverages, supposedly purchased by a ...

Boring & Disappointing

This review is only our opinion and in no way reflects the crew on the Spectrum of The Seas who were all fantastic and definitely had their work cut out. If you have ever been on a Royal Caribbean International (RCI) Oasis-class ship, I think you will be very disappointed with Spectrum of the Seas. We have been on many cruises and this was our third cruise with RCI so we thought we knew what ...

Good itinerary but beware the fees!

We chose this itinerary as part of a Balinese Delights package which included stays in both Seminyak, Bali and Singapore. Having read reviews of this ship but not this journey we were prepared for an Asian cruise with a very different clientele and cuisine but happy to embrace a new culture. What we did not expect was to be fleeced at every single opportunity by this cruise ...
