AMAZING Anthem of the Seas

Words cannot describe how excited I was to sail on this wonderful ship, I spend a day aboard back in May and just had to sail on her before she repositioned across the pond. Check in (sadly) was a nightmare, there were 4 of us in 2 cabins, we checked in online prior to departure but didn't have set sail passes, maybe it would have been a lot easier should we all of had them, however, all I kept ...

I love this ship. Whilst others don't like the big ships, we found Anthem to be great if you wanted to find a seat! As the decks are all huge, there are lots of little places to sit, most bars are very spacious. I remarked to my wife, where do they hide all the people? On the way back through the Bay of Biscay (or Biscuits as most people call it), we hit a storm. Because the ship is so big, we ...

Our experience bore no resemblance to some of the reviews we read before we sailed. Check in was done on a tablet and we were on board in minutes. The ship is stunning and beautifully designed. The food in all areas was excellent and dynamic dining worked well. We booked all the restaurants in advance and enjoyed them all so didn't bother with any of the speciality restaurants. Service was ...

We have been taking Cruise holidays over the last 10 years starting with Ocean Village and then Thomson's. This year we decided to take what we thought was a step up in class and chose The Anthem of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. To be perfectly frank we were disappointed. We enjoyed the holiday overall but really didn't feel that this ship ticked all the boxes. We spoke to several seasoned Royal ...

This is our 5 cruise and 3rd one with RC- we travel over 30+ nights per year-we are in our 40's and did not travel with children- our cabin was on the 11th deck and was a superior balcony mid-ship We had some idea of what to expect as we had been on Oasis and Allure-plenty of activities for everyone, ports were good (perhaps not enough time in some port but this is highly individual. The ...

This was mine and my wife's 4th Royal Caribbean cruise having previously done 3 on the Independence of the Seas. We loved the Independence and chose the Anthem of the Seas as it was meant to be the long term replacement for Independence. First impressions didn't go very well at check in, we had done the online check in and even took photos as instructed to save time, everyone was meant to ...

RCI invest in high tech, but downgrade on quality and service!

Hi there! I have left it for a few days before I write a review of said cruise as I wanted to get things in perspective and be as balanced as possible in order to be fair to RCI and Anthem as well as myself. I and my husband are Diamond Plus members. We have sailed as a family, with clients and friends for several years and the majority of that time been extremely loyal to the brand. We first ...

1st of all I want to say I work in Afghanistan working 7 days a week 13 hours a day and due to other family commitments this was (is) my only holiday for 2015 for myself and my wife so I really wanted a great cruise before I headed back to Afghanistan! In general the ship was OK but needs to concentrate on the basics and not to go all out for hi tech gimmicks to entice customers onto the ship. ...

Hectic But Enjoyable Holiday; Excellent Facilities on Anthem

Having read many negative reviews prior to departure (although some positive ones too), and this being my first cruise, I was a little apprehensive before we set off from Southampton. We are a family of four including twin teenage boys who were very excited at the prospect of a holiday on a big cruise ship! I was less convinced – it was my husband who was keen to try cruising – but I decided to go ...

You can enjoy a great cruise on this ship - ignore the disgruntled reviewers

My wife and I had some concerns prior to starting our cruise, after reading some of the bad reviews, however, we soon realised that the version of events portrayed by many of the negative reviewers was very far from reality. This was effectively our first cruise and although everything was not perfect all the time, we cannot fault Royal Caribbean and their excellent, committed staff. Embarkation ...
