Due to Covid, we wanted to book a cruise that departed and returned to Vancouver. This would allow us to fly domestically so the only testing we would need was to get on the ship itself. We wanted to go in May as it is one of the dryer months and it was the best decision as we had amazing weather. 13-18 degrees celsius every day. We needed nothing more than a sweatshirt at most and some days ...
We have been to Alaska twice before and had a credit to use, found an accessible room so off we went.
Plenty to do or just relax. Weather was cool-dress in layers.
Food was good and entertainment was enjoyable.
Enjoyed the Diamond lounge before dinner and love the 5 free drinks for Diamond plus status. Also love getting coffee in the mornings.
Had very nice table mates at late setting. ...
Sailed B2B Northbound and southbound. Check in was very smooth, enjoying Windjammer buffet by 11:45 am. We've circumnavigated Australia/New Zealand 30 plus days on the Radiance so we were very familiar with this ship. Itineraries were excellent considering cruising have restarted in Alaska. Cabin steward and dining services were impeccable. Safety and health protocols were impressive. This ...
We were "snow. birds" returning to Seattle from S. California and chose cruising as an alternative to driving from Palm Springs to Seattle. The costs were comparable to driving and sightseeing for six days. But the plane is less expensive.
We had a perfect port call on Catalina Island and rented a golf cart there for touring.
We had two port days in San Francisco and toured Alcatraz - a ...
Booked 3 weeks prior to sailing it was a screaming deal! Got double points, and were on our way to getting Diamond status. We are From Oregon so easy drive up I5 to Seattle. The food is good. But I s it great? ( Not really) However you can find find good food it’s just maybe not quite as good as some of the other ships I have been on for sure but I was very happy with the food. Don’t listen to the ...
We are veteran cruisers but have previously been on only one other RCCL ship, the Oasis of the Seas. Most often we sail Celebrity.Because of having earned Elite+ status on Captain's Club we were fortunate to utilize Diamond level Crown & Anchor perks on this voyage. Like so many others we had cruises cancelled due to COVID and we were very eager to sail again. My husband had never visited Alaska ...
Just got off a last minute Alaska cruise on Ovation of the Seas. It was fantastic. Only 1342 guests on a ship that holds up to 4800. We got lucky with incredibly good weather for this time of year in Alaska. It was rainy and windy the weeks before and a big storm is coming in this next weekend. The boat felt perfect for the number of guests. There were 1300 crew, only 200 less than when the ...
I traveled with over 70 people through Card Player Cruises. Such a perfect group and wonderful fun trip. Food was improved over pre-covid cruises on RCCL, especially in the buffet where they now serve you so no more hands on everything.
Cabin was wonderful. Service was friendly but professional. Fast boarding and departure.
I wanted to dispute something in another review, that one ...
The Ovation crew was ready for us and did a fantastic job the entire cruise. They were happy and ready to make our trip remarkable! The Ovation is a wonderful ship and the perfect one for an Alaskan cruise! With all the windows you can see everything! We spent a lot of time in the Solarium which has windows from top to bottom so you don’t miss anything! We enjoyed their breakfast on sea days ...
For our birthdays, our group decided we wanted to cruise and celebrate our birthdays together. It was magnificent to be together safely and enjoy seven days of cruising.
The entire team onboard at Royal Caribbean was 1st class and we enjoyed our cruise very much. Our memories together are really priceless and thank you.
Our balcony room on the 10th floor was located in such a convenient spot ...
