My travel agent sold us on this cruise. The ship was nice and beautifully appointed. Food was just alright. Everything was extra money and we were nickeled and and dimed the whole time. Great trip. Weather was beautiful don't make the mistake we did and pack a bunch of winter clothes! Temperature was in the 50's or above the entire trip. A hoodie is all you need for a jacket trust me. You will wear shorts and t-shirts on the boat, hoodie and long pants when you get off. A lightweight rain jacket just in case is also a good idea. Was on the June 21 Ovation Alaska cruise. In just about all aspects, it was a top-notch experience that is worth every penny. While the summer-like weather helped with navigating the waters, the large ship was able to get very close to the Dawes glacier and did multiple 360s for all to have good views. Embarkation was a breeze- Their use of iPads to check people in expedited the process. The port of Seattle is in our view one of the best embarkation points we have sailed from.

This was my 17th trip with RC, 3rd to Alaska, 1st on Ovation. Embarkation was fast, being able to board at 11:00. Rooms weren't available until 1:00, which is pretty standard.

Ship was super clean and was a perfect fit for Alaska. With all the indoor activities, there is little need to be outside. We did the 7 day Land tour before our cruise. With the exception of Denali Village which we found our room not cleaned they moved us to a new room only to open door and find it already occupied.
