Time on the Radiance of the Sea in Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

This Alaska cruise was part of a package with a travel agent who set up a geocaching tour of Alaska, so I did not have a choice of the time or ship. My family had a great time on the ship. I did a lot of reading before the cruise about the ship, its' offerings, and the ports. Again, it comes down to what you are looking for and how picky you want to be. We had a ocean view cabin that was ...

Fabulous Trip Except for the Denali Village Park on Landcruise

We chose Royal Caribbean because we had sailed with them many times We took a 5 day land tour prior to the cruise. We were extremely satisfied with the exception of our stay in Denali. We had been told prior to the final payment that we would be staying at the Denali Grand Hotel. I made additional inquiries to Royal Caribbean in making plans for the trip and was sent a web link for the Grand ...

Our family finished a week on Explorer in Alaska on Friday. In June 2015 my wife and I along with another couple spent a week on Celebrity Solstice in Alaska, and our kids decided they wanted this year’s family vacation to be a cruise in Alaska. So it was decided - cruising Alaska two years in a row but on different boats that go out at the same time on almost the same route and this time with ...

Alaska does not dissappoint!

We enjoyed a great day in Seattle before the cruise including the Boeing Factory Tour, Pikes Place Market and the Space Needle. Uber is a great way to get around town and to the port. The port is chaotic and clearly not equipped to handle the big ships. Allow extra time for transportation, boarding and catching a flight home - and brace yourself for rude port workers. The ship is very nice and ...

Big Ship offered lots to do but felt small and intimate - loved it

My husband and I went to Alaska on the Coral Princess in June of 2010. We decided to cone back and take extended family with us. We had 3 rooms - 2 mini suites and an indoor cabin across. The cabins were well appointed and slightly roomier than Princess. We really liked the balconies - they are somewhat enclosed relative to Celebrity or Princess and so were more comfortable to be out on. I ...

Comfortable Ship, Great Entertainment

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

The Radiance is a comfortable ship, it is smaller than I am use to. The entertainment was good; there were 2 acts that were excellent, David Meyer and the Alley Cats, if you have the chance to see them on your cruise you should. We took more excursions on this cruise than usual, (8 in total) and they were all worth the money. The food was good with a varied selection, slightly different ...

This cruise was chosen for us but we would definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean again. We would especially like to acknowledge our dining hall wait staff, Ken and Frankie. They not only offered outstanding service, but we felt they went over and beyond to enhance the service they provided. Because of the 2 of them, we will very likely book with Royal Caribbean again! Our cabin boy, Muhammad, ...

Alaska First Visit - cruise review

After deferring this cruise for many years due to concerns of cold-weather cruising, we finally decided to take an Alaska cruise. We decided on the Radiance of the Seas because of its itinerary and timing. We had a wonderful cruise experience. The ports of call were beautiful and would delight any nature lover. While we still prefer cruise destinations that are richer in history, we hope to return ...

You're traveling to see Alaska...

My husband and I traveled with his parents to Alaska on the Radiance of the Seas departing from Seward, Alaska. Being an experienced cruiser, I will try to give an honest opinion as there are many negative reviews of this ship. First of all, this is an older boat so yes, it has its short comings. We did not mind because the scenery of Alaska was way better then looking at the ship! The ship ...

We found checking in at the port was no trouble and once boarding the ship with so many people I felt the crew did an amazing job of getting everyone to their rooms Our stateroom 9371 was quite a shock it was so tiny it was impossible to walk around the bed as it was jammed hard against the wall on both sides we climbed from the end of the bed up to the pillows my Husband woke the first night ...
