Exceptional return to cruising

Background, wife and I are longtime cruiser almost exclusively with Royal Caribbean. We are a young (60) year old couple that enjoy life to its fullest and were celebrating our (40) year wedding anniversary. Like most, we were a bit reserved about cruising during the pandemic. However, we are both vaccinated and healthy. A specific reason we chose this cruise was the requirement that all guest ...

First cruise. Really impressed. There was a gastro outbreak on the previous trip which led to delays on boarding due to the captain ordering a deep clean of the ship. While the delay was frustrating I prefer waiting than being ill so as a one off I can’t really fault this. The restaurants were great. The main dining room was beautiful, the staff brilliant and the food amazing. The Windjammer ...

we had awesome cruise from Southampton to Vigo, Gijon, Bilbao (all at Spain) and Le Havre France in Oct 26-Nov2, 2014. Overall we had a blast, a wonderful vacation with no major hickups. Adventure of the Ocean is a beautiful ship with lots of nice people working onboard, itinerary was interesting (although I missed not stepping out of EU zone which made all shopping 20% more expensive due to UK ...

As the ship had an outbreak of the novo virus the previous week when it reached Southampton it had to have a deep clean which no one minded but the chaos to board was dreadful. The ship had a refit earlier this year but except for some of the new carpets, a new 'concrete mattress' and a flat screen television the in stateroom nothing much looked different. The furniture in the staterooms were ...

Great Cruise

Totally enjoyed myself being a solo traveler. Met lots of really nice people. Ship offered numerous activities each day, including art seminars at auctions through Park West Gallery. Excursions were good, but Gijon was a waste of time and money. I hope they take that new port off of the itinerary, as it was a waste of time. Most of the passengers complained. Entertainment was fantastic!!! Went ...

We, a family of 3 are cruising Spain and Portugal on Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas. As we have done some research online, we are aware that RCL is at least a tier to a tier and a half lower than Celebrity. At best RCL is a 3-½ stars whereas Celebrity would rate a 5. That’s OK as the dates and the destinations suite us well. We are in a junior suite with a verandah in the aft on deck 6. ...

17th August 2014 - 12 nights from Southampton. My overall experience with RCI was good. I am going to go over various aspects of the experience in detail. Room We stayed in a interior room on deck 8. The room was small, but fine too sleep in. However, I would recommend that if you were to go on a med cruise a balcony is so much nicer as a balcony room was opposite ours and makes it feel much ...

I was cruising with my husband and 17 year old daughter. This was our 13th cruise - mostly sailing with RCI, Celebrity, and Princess. We were not doing this trip for the destinations (having done most of them before), but for a rest! Embarkation: it was great just to drive to Southampton, park the car and walk 5 minutes to the cruise terminal. Much more relaxing than negotiating an airport. The ...

Adventure of the seas Review - France and Spain 27oct - 04nov 2013 Ports of call: Southampton - Cherbourg - Vigo - Gijon - Bilbao -Southampton Embarkation: Smooth and very easy at the So’ton City terminal. Loyalty lanes were clearly labelled and took advantage of that as a crown and anchor member, saving up to 20 minutes of queuing. Once onboard by 1pm we headed to the windjammer for our first ...
