Exceptional return to cruising

Background, wife and I are longtime cruiser almost exclusively with Royal Caribbean. We are a young (60) year old couple that enjoy life to its fullest and were celebrating our (40) year wedding anniversary. Like most, we were a bit reserved about cruising during the pandemic. However, we are both vaccinated and healthy. A specific reason we chose this cruise was the requirement that all guest ...

We chose this particular cruise due to the multiple ports in their itinerary. I poured over the reviews from here (thank you) and wrote down tips and tricks. I will return the favour and list the most helpful tips that I used. I must say, that after reading some negative reviews regarding the ship’s state, I was nervous with what to expect. Although this was our 3rd cruise, we were ...

I want to preface this lengthy review by stating my comments and feedback are not meant to be compared to or criticized by cruisers who are much more experienced than I am. Your expectations and requirements may be very different from mine so please don't respond with negative comments. This was our first major cruise and I am simply posting a review to provide information that I hope will help ...

I am not going to give a lengthy review of what my experience was like. Instead, I will give the pros and cons as this was my very first cruise Pros: 1. Staff was very friendly (including the bartenders) I will give a list of crew members that made our cruise memorable below 2. The entertainment was a lost of fun. Music Trivia and Karaoke in the Schooner bar made our nights fun. 3. ...

Bad Cruise; Overrated

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We were very unhappy with the cruise this year. We booked a year in advance on the same cruise ship with the understanding that the cruise ship would be updated and we would see many changes. We got on the ship and it was exactly the same except the new booking area, which was redone. The ship's odor was overwhelming with the smell of urine. The beds were old and wore out. In the casino, the ...

Awesome Spring Break Adventure

Our family of four traveled on Royal Caribbean this past week for Spring Break. Our son wou is 17 and daughter who is 12 also were part of the vacation. We booked 2 rooms on the interior of the ship. We saved money on the interior so we could have more space with 2 rooms. This was a great idea. The interior rooms overlooked the Royal Promenade which gave you some view. Activities ...

Booking agent Dorothy on RC site lied at time of booking seven months ago. Thirteen in our group. We're told would get all adjoining rooms on balcony with all partitions open for us. WRONG. Not allowed. Maid told us to go get a Phillips screwdriver and take them off ourselves. We didn't. We were told anytime dining..WRONG. Forced to 8:30 eating with two children. Toilet broken..fixed after ...

Adventure of the Seas is a misadventure!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

After 15 cruises with Princess and Celebrity, we took our first on Royal Caribbean. It was a true misadventure. First and foremost, the food served both in the buffet and in the dining room was dreadful. In the buffet, the food was served in tarnished pans and was unappetizing. It was the same food each day with a different colored sauce. The food in the dining room was equally tasteless ...

Overall a Decline Over Prior Cruises

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

Food in the main dining room was just okay. The menu seemed limited in selection...my wife ordered hamburgers one night as nothing appealed to her. As the week went on the selection got better. There were less alcohol servers than prior cruises as they are pushing the wine packages. The bar and room services also showed a decline. Someone suggested it is because the tips are now prepaid; ...

Teen program was fantastic, the rest not so much.....

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

I was very, very disappointed with this cruise. First of all, Royal Caribbean advertises their ships on their website and in the media as having circus schools, surfing and roller skating. Our ship had NONE of those. Every time we tried to go to the adult area of the pool it was always jam-packed, with the hot tubs filled to capacity, and there were never any chairs available out of the ...
