This was my First cruise with RCI, my FIRST Transatlantic and my First solo cruise.
I joined the cruise critic roll call for the ship, getting a lot of information about the cruise, including some trips to the various islands we were visiting. We also agreed to meet at the sky bar for sail away, where I met other solo cruisers who were to remain friends throughout the cruise (RCI also organised ...
This was our 6th cruise and our fourth with royal Caribbean, it was also our first transatlantic and our first visit to the Caribbean.we had travelled on the adventure last year on a canaries cruise so it felt comfortable straight away, we found the ship as last year clean in good repair and welcoming.this was also the first balcony cabin we had booked on a royal Caribbean ship having previously ...
We've just been on Adventure of the Seas transatlantic and had one of the best RCI cruises ever.
Ship - The ship was well looked after, well maintained and very clean. To me it didn't look 'tired' like many people have said.
For several weeks before we sailed there were reports of Norovirus and deep cleans. There was a lot of ongoing cleaning but not many reports of illness on this cruise.
Crew ...
Well where do I begin !!
Embarkation at Southampton was rather longer than anticipated , despite having preference over others , I along with other diamon and diamond plus members queued for far longer than we wanted to , however once onboard its soon forgotten .
My superior oceanview balcony cabin on deck ten was just wonderful , beautifully clean and I was blessed with a wonderful Phillipino ...
We were on the transatlantic cruise from Southampton. This was our first time cruising with RCI, the first time on a ship with over 3000 passengers and our first transatlantic crossing. We had a great time and enjoyed everything about the cruise. Before we left home I stopped reading other peoples’ reviews; they were so negative and disappointing I did not want my holiday ruined before we’d even ...
Our 2nd cruise, 2nd time on the Adventure of the Seas, 1st time doing the transatlantic. We loved it!
The embarkation process, predictably and understandably, was somewhat chaotic and involved lots of line-standing. It all worked out, almost everyone made it on board before the ship left. A couple of days at sea (with a bit of mild choppy weather, enough to let you know that you were on a ship on ...
We are a married couple from Scandinavia who previous have been on 35 cruises. This was our 9 Transatlantic cruise, and our 18 cruise with RCI.
Pre-cruise: For the second year in a row, we had pre-booked a car with chauffeur from Online Airport Cars in London, to our hotel in Southampton. It worked again very well for us, and we thought the price was fair. We stayed at the Hotel Novotel ...
Having read the reviews on here and following some of the threads in the members area regarding the ship's refurbishment we were a little apprehensive about what we were in store for prior to embarkation. Thankfully as soon as we had boarded our experience was very positive from word go. The ship's recent 'revitalization' was on a smaller scale than we had hoped for (and I think less extensive ...
We boarded in Southampton, very quick due to the fact we had booked a Junior Suite and had priority boarding although they don't exactly point that out. The first two days at sea were quite rough and the Master did advise us with the announcement "I love Rock & Roll" spot on captain.
The ship is due for a makeover which I think is just deserved, Cabin and attendant "Allan" were superb thanks Alan ...
My main problem with this ship (and likely the whole fleet) is the food. While there were other passengers who happily ate their meals, I was in the awkward position of having to live mostly on rolls & cheese, some fruit, with the odd yogurt now & then, plus a few bowls of horrible, tasteless porridge, and at dinner occasionally a few veg without seasoning. Why? Because my stomach does not like ...
