I’m happy to say, what a difference this was with my first cruise. I really thought if this will be so bad as my first cruise, this will be my last but thankfully everything was super. I'm even now already looking for the next one (only not anymore with Princess cruises). This time travelling with my two teenage daughters and my brother (he in another room) This time on a smaller ship and off ...

General Comment - This cruise sailed from Rotterdam round trip. Evidently the cruise was far from sold out so HA kept dropping th eprice as time progressed and then made (we are told) special deals for the Dutch people located close to Rotterdam to fill up the ship. Consequently there were close to 1000 dutch speaking passengers and 200 English speaking passengers, All announcements were mad in ...

We have taken Mediterranean cruises before, but have never been to Spain or Portugal so were looking for an itinerary that focused on these countries. HAL's 14 day Spain and Portugal Explorer itinerary seemed perfect. Arrival: We arrived very early in the morning in Rotterdam on Sep 15 after an overnight flight from Canada. The port was chaotic and nobody seemed to know where we needed or ...

We stayed in Amsterdam for 3 days visiting sights such as the Rijkmuseum, Anne Frank Huis, Van Gogh Museum and the infamous De Wallen Red Light District which was pretty near to our hotel. We took a tour to the Zaanse Schanes Windmills, Marken and Volendam which was a great way to leave the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam and visit the country which was a very interesting experience and we even got ...

My wife & I just completed our first cruise with HAL and were very disappointed with most of the cruise. We have previously sailed 6X with Celebrity, 8x with the old Renaissance, 1X with Princess, NCL & RCL. The Rotterdam was at the bottom of our cruise experiences. We stayed at the pre-cruise hotel, the Westin in Rotterdam. Although the hotel was a 5 star quality hotel, the area was being torn ...
