The staff onboard made the trip great and the dining was truly exceptional! Bigger isn’t better on cruises.

I know all these ships do pretty much the same thing…travel overnight to the next destination & drop you off for a land excursion that’s just long enough t give you a little taste of the local flare. What made this smaller ship stand out was the AMAZING staff. Not just welcoming, but vibrant and funny personalities that truly made the trip. To name the standouts; Anthony (thanks for your hilarious ...

Windstar keeps excelling

This was our 5th cruise with Windstar and our 2nd on the Wind Surf. Took this 4/30/23 sailing as it was as far out as our FCC would take us on the schedule. We knew the Spring weather could be a mixed bag (and it was) but that didn't damper our spirits or Windstar's casual elegance. Windstar consistently excels at great staff; they call you by name by the second day, excellent dining options; ...

We sailed with the Wind Surf on Sicilian Splendors ( Oct.6, 2022) The name of the itinerary was incorrect on the form to write this review. We reserved this trip 2020, 2021, and finally we were able be on the Surf this October. Three years of waiting with anticipation and indeed it did not disappoint. Everything about the Wind Surf that we love was out in full force: superb staff, beautiful ...

Wind Surf is a beautiful motorized five mast sailing yatch that can accomodate ~ 342 pasengers and a crew of ~ 200. The crew is what makes Wind Star ships special. The crew is very attentive and make you feel special. The crer will know your name and your favorate beverage in a day or two. The food is excellent in all three resturants. The Stella Bistro and Candles are small speciality ...

Recommended by our travel agent and we were delighted. Service was outstanding throughout and our food excellent. The 3 restaurant choices gave us all the options we were looking for over the 17 night cruise. The itinerary gave us the best of popular ports and smaller ones that we visited for the first time. The marina was a little disappointing as distance we could swim was limited and no ...

We had seen most of the Med on previous cruises but had missed the North Italian coast and the French Riviera. This cruise fit the bill with 3 Italian ports ,Monaco and 3 French Riviera port stops. Unfortunately a week before the cruise my wife became ill and needed a wheelchair temporarily to get around. I considered cancelling all of our excursions but the Destination Manager assured me they ...

Great experience for someone who hated the idea of taking a cruise

We had a wonderful time on the wind surf. We didn’t expect to.... We’re not “cruise people” - The idea of a cruise ship is just gross to us. We tried the Windstar cruise because a sailboat charter wasn’t able to get us to all the places we wanted to go. What we found was the WindSurf was a lot more enjoyable than a sailboat charter. Much less work, great food, great staff. In terms of value, it ...

Exceeded Our Expectations

Taking a Windstar cruse has always been a “bucket list” adventure for me. My husband has never been to Italy and I always wanted a reason to return, so the itinerary sold us and we could cross many travels off our list. So this is a first-time Wind Star cruiser review. I loved the idea of sailing on a smaller ship. I’m 49 and my husband is 59, so we weren’t looking for a large ship, nor all ...

We have been on the Windstar Line's smaller wind yachts and wanted to experience the larger Wind Surf. With about 190 crew and 350 passengers the facilities and service were above and beyond what we expected. The slightly larger format allowed a little more space and enabled the provision of three distinctly different dining experiences. The small size of the ship allowed it to anchor close to ...

CLASSIC ITALY AND DALMATION COAST

Let me start off by saying this was our 5th Windstar Cruise and was one of " the best". I did a lot of due diligence before our trip on Viator, TripAdvisor, NY Times Travel etc.regarding our cities we were visiting. You should probably do this but the Yacht provides a write up on each stop ( places of interest, history etc.) which was fabulous information. You can pick these up as soon as you ...
