Where to start...
From Day 1, we arrived after flying across the Atlantic only to discover that "One of our engines is broken, so we have canceled the stop in France. Not to worry, we are still seaworthy..." Options for remedy were: 1. Take a credit of $100 person / 2. Rebook at a later date. / 3. Get a full refund. (MAN DO WE WISH WE HAD PICKED THAT OPTION!!!!) We later discovered that ...
I am very patient. I am always giving the benefit of the doubt. I have never written a scathing review before. But I am out of patience, there is no doubt that any benefit should be granted to MSC, and I am now writing my first ever scathing review (after 63 years.)
Things got so bad, I had to finally keep a list. I didn’t even put many of the tiny things on the list. And yes, some of the ...
This was a fantastic cruise! The ship wasn't full, so no crowds anywhere. We were greeted like royalty by the grateful and incredibly friendly staff. We never sprang for specialty dining, as the regular food was superb. The nightly entertainment was all wonderful. I loved the itinerary. Portofino was beautiful, Corsica had Napoleon history and Cannes had film history, Barcelona Wow!! La Sagrada ...
This is a review of my family’s cruise on the Norwegian Epic from Rome to Rome beginning 5/31/2021. We had a fantastic time.
Rome
We arranged through NCL to have 3 nights in Rome before our cruise. NCL provided shuttles to and from the port, but not from and to the airport which we managed ourselves. It’s a good idea to get into your departure city a day before the cruise in case of airline ...
This is my 4th voyage on the Celebrity EDGE, and first since 2019. I am a real fan of the EDGE class ships, and Celebrity Cruises in general.
Celebrity have created an incredibly comfortable class of ship, with a design and space that just works for the passengers. Having upped the game in almost every area, from an incredibly large pool, to a modern technically effective, yet stunning ...
This cruise was chosen due to the locations that it was traveling to. It seemed like a fun idea to travel so European countries and go on the excursions. We were so excited, but as the cruise went on, there were more and more red flags.
CONS
-The water does not come with the drink package. You have to pay for water bottles, and you are not able to fill you water bottles at the drinking ...
We consider ourselves as easily pleased and fair - so here goes
The boarding at Civitavecchia (Rome) was seamless at our allocated time. We had all our paper work ready and check-in complete, with COVID test etc, which I think helped as there were plenty of folk sitting around waiting. If you do decide to get a test there, yes, as advertised, it will cost $65. There were places apparently in ...
We decided on this for the itinerary and the small ship. The ports, the ability to just do our own thing and not feel part of a large group of people. We could not be happier with our choice. The staff is kind and try everything they can do to make your trip memorable. Ports were outstanding and the ability to sail up the river into the heart of Seville Spain was a once in an lifetime ...
It's probably going to be difficult to describe the full extend of our disappointment with this cruise, but I'll give it my best try, with as much detail as possible so that you can appreciate why we were so disappointed.
Embarkation
Got on after spending an endless time waiting for an antigen test (which later showed up on the invoice as a $65 pp charge, when it doesn't even cost half ...
