So I have cruised throughout my childhood and I have been on various cruises in the last 8 years but this was my first time with RC. Having watched the slick adverts for the biggest/newest boat my kids wanted to go on and do the waterslides/ice skating/ laser tag etc.
We booked 5 months before sailing and there was only a handful of cabins left so we had a very limited choice and had a ...
We just got off a 7 night W Med cruise in and out of Civitavecchia. NCL was less than up-front about the availability of amenities onboard due to maintenance and staff shortages. In hindsight, they were dishonest. 3 days after our trip, the only email from NCL is a copy of our bill, no thank you, no follow-up.
During our entire cruise both Spice H2O and the sports complex were closed due to ...
We were planning a family trip to the Mediterranean and booked 2 cabins. We all had issues with the entertainment on the boat. The entertainment included 2 worthy shows. A fabulous Pricilla Queen of the Desert and Burn the floor( dance show). There was a magician who had a kids show for adult entertainment! and that was it. There were bands playing in different clubs that were descent. Other ...
We began our cruise adventure with a wonderful TA she kept us as informed as humanly possible throughout the changes that were taking place. We booked three nights in Rome before the cruise and one night after. NCL put us up at the Golden Tulip it was a lovely old hotel not too far from the train station. Everything was very clean and the staff were great. We also purchased all of our shuttles ...
We stayed a couple of days in Rome beforehand and took a Rome Airport Transportation car down to the port at Civitavecchia on embarkation day. Celebrity’s organisation at the terminal was excellent, it really did exceed expectations - we had booked a retreat class suite and the check-in service could not have been better. There is a dedicated suite section and we were on the ship within 15 minutes ...
Cruised out of Rome and my flights and transfers were all organised by my agent with no issues whatsoever, met in Rome and although I thought the transfer was probably too long from being greeted to departing for the port on a shared 50 seater coach.
Actual embarkation was straightforward and very quick and I was soon at my cabin. I needed proof of a negative covid test, vaccinations and that ...
I chose this cruise because of its beautiful European destinations and the cruise industry's repeated reassurance that COVID protocols were being successfully followed and transmission rates were low. The countries visited were amazing and had so much history. I truly enjoyed spending time with my family and all the perks that come along with cruising. I had waited 2 years to rebook this cruise ...
The cruise itself was okay. The pools are too small and the adult pool/Spice H2O was closed the last couple of days. We were given a $50 credit for the inconvenience. There are no lounge chairs in that area to lay out & they close early in the evening. The staff was very friendly and our steward was awesome, he was very attentive. As for the excursions, we spent too many hours traveling to each ...
We opted for a suite (Deck 8) . What we learned the hard way is that some of those suites (ours) were right underneath the pool deck and Windjammer. THE NOISE coming through our ceiling was loud and very disturbing. The sounds of people walking, running and tables and chairs being dragged, and chopping and banging noise up till 3am. It sounded like we were living underneath a factory.
We paid ...
After researching cruise lines, ships, and itineraries, I chose this cruise as I was traveling with my 20-something daughter and wanted a younger-feeling crowd. In the end, that didn't matter as the only place on the ship where people gathered was the pool and karaoke. Otherwise, the crowd wasn't noticeable and there were just small interactions here & there.
Our stateroom was nice. Yes, it ...
