This was the Rhapsody's first since the pandemic began. I was told the staff were almost all new not only to this ship, but to Royal Caribbean and cruise employment generally. I was also told the ship had staffing issues in regard to numbers (like most any hotel or restaurant you've visited recently).

We sailed on this ship on 3 previous occasions and loved it. We liked the itinerary and price. Unfortunately, things have changed and the crew is incompetent. They kept our American passport when we got on. Made it difficult to get it back. Food is now terrible. Little info about ports. Entertainment is repetitive. I just returned from a 15 Transatlantic cruise on The Oosterdam.. There was nothing about the ship that I didn't like. The food, staff, entertainment and overall appearance of the ship was outstanding.
It was my first time on a HAL ship. I suspect it won't be the last.
