We initially booked this cruise in the spring, had to cancel then rebooked it 2 weeks before sailing. Saved $800. This was our 25th Wedding anniversary and we wanted to do another TA. The ports are what made this cruise, Rome, Livorno, Cannes, Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon then the Azores (lost 1 port there because of the weather).
Boarding in Rome was a breeze. From when we were ...
I chose this cruise because I enjoy transatlantic sailings. We embarked at Civitavecchia, visited Livorno, Cannes, Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon, Ponta Delgada and disembarked at my home port, New York City. We had seven fun filled sea days. There were alot of trivia games offered. NCL Escape has great entertainment and dining was also very good. Lobster is offered as an upcharge in ...
We took this T/A RCL cruise because the price was unbeatable and because we got our Celebrity T/A cruise for the same period from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro cancelled. I am a Celebrity/Hal guy where I think the food are the best and they are the one keeping the real idea of cruising. RCL strives to isolate you from the sea, there is not even a place/table/bar/resto to sit and drink or eat outside ...
YES! The infinite veranda is disappointing and a bust! A marketing gimmick promoted by poor design! The cabin is much smaller, narrower and shorter than Celebrity standard balconies on other ships. Extremely disappointing cabin: claustrophobic. I have loved Celebrity for many year until this new ship: the APEX. The infinite cabin is a marketing trick to sell claustrophobic cabins! Although The ...
We love celebrity cruises. The food is great, the service is awesome. However I am not a balcony. It is basically just a room extension with a window which is locked several times by the captain. Also when you open the window the air-conditioning goes off so the entire room gets humid even with the little doors closed. It is not the same as having a balcony at all. It does afford more privacy and ...
I am an Elite-Plus passenger which means I’m a veteran of many Celebrity cruises, so I know whereof I speak. I am writing this review while crossing the Atlantic on Celebrity’s Apex, a trip which because of Covid had been postponed at least twice. It is my first sailing on an Edge-class ship.
I have taken transatlantic cruises before aboard the Reflection and I will confine my comments about ...
We have now cruised with Celebrity 13 times...We have always enjoyed the many features of the Cruise Line. But this time, we were a bit disappointed. The Edge is a beautiful ship; however, it lacks some of the features that we find so appealing in the Solstice class ships. For example, there are few quiet areas in the ship. Nothing like the Ensemble lounge or a library area or the Sky lounge. ...
We choose this cruise for the itinerary, and wanted to do Mediterranean and Transatlantic. The itinerary fit our needs perfectly. There were 4 of us, including a 17 year old. We've cruised other lines, for a total of 17 cruises, never on Celebrity.
Embarkation was the BEST ever! We walked in the terminal, no lines, they verified our negative covid tests and we proceeded to gangway. This ...
We have sailed Celebrity before and we do like the line. We sailed Princess, Holland of America and Norvegian, but we always return to Celebrity. We always wanted to do a transatlantic and the time was perfect coming from a few days in Barcelona. We stayed at the casa del mar near the port and this was very nice the owners are wonderful. Embarkation was smooth we booked a suite it was our first ...
The Holy Land cruise was prior to the following transatlantic, so we got a 'good feel' for the Odyssey. We've had 8 cruises on RCCL, 4 of which were transatlantic and 1 transpacific. We sailed Celebrity 10 times, 4 of which were transatlantic. Towards the end of the first cruise, we came down with a mild case of Covid, despite having our shots and 4th booster. We were quarantined in our cabin for ...
