Overall we had a great time, first TA and won't be the last.
PROS:
- Newish ship, modern, beautiful common areas and spaces. 4200 passengers, so felt crowded but never had a problem getting a lounge chair by the pool, table at Windjammer or table at main dinning room.
- Crew: probably the best we had in all of our cruises, friendly, attentive and just have to ask once for "special ...
Loved the Transatlantic experience on Odyssey! This was our first TA and it was better than expected. This ship has so many different venues so we had plenty to do with 5 consecutive sea days. The first night was a little bumpy but after that smooth sailing. Really enjoyed the seminars in 260, playmakers to watch NFL football, fabulous shows/ acrobatics, slot pulls, and all the countries visited. ...
I thought it might be informative for new MSC customers to hear about this vessel and compare it to brands American's are more accustomed to.
We booked this cruise as the finale of a month-long Italian trip to bring us home to our apartment (not far from the cruise terminal). We have crossed the Atlantic in this manner 3 or 4 times with Norwegian from the same port, Civitavecchia
We like ...
We wanted to do a transatlantic cruise and we thought Princess would be a great choice for this. Embarkation in Barcelona was chaotic and slow, but all went very well after. Koror Montenegro was a surprise - the old city is fascinating. The itinerary through the Mediterranean was terrific. The food was very good to excellent and the buffet particularly impressed. We ate about half our dinners in ...
My husband and I went on the 28 day Grand Israel/Mediterranean/Trans-Atlantic cruise last November/December. We met amazing people and had a fantastic time. Our favorites? We loved the twice-daily trivia competitions as well as the evening musical trivia. We also loved the crew-led games/entertainment. (The cruise director for our first segment was fantastic!) The food was good-to-great ...
This is our forth transatlantic so we know what to expect. From day one there have been uncalled for and primarily unapologetic things that have gone wrong. It was a back to back and on the second leg they kept us in the theater 3 hours because they couldn’t find the new sea pass cards. Management was very unaccomidating in the dining room. They were short staffed and would not combine a table of ...
This was our second Royal Caribbean Transatlantic crossing and what a contrast. Our 2018 trip was a real pleasure. This November 2022 cruise was plagued by mistakes. Almost every day there were last minute changes, conflicting and often duplicate scheduling of events on the ship. Repeatedly, crew made no seating or staging preparations for events. The Cruise Campus was a mess. Examples: Oe ...
We had never done a transatlantic before and we're not getting any younger, so we figured now or never...and never wasn't an option. We had a Mediterranean cruise on the Escape canceled in May, 2020 and were determined to do this one.
The ship itself was practically spotless. The crew was extremely friendly, always smiling and greeting you in the hallways. Our cabin steward, Ryan, was superb. ...
We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. 11 ports and finishing up in New York City. We were going to visit our daughter in Virginia after the cruise. We spent three nights in Rome. Weather was fabulous, however many Italians were on vacation for the all saints break. Rome consequently it was very very crowded. We still enjoyed it and explored areas we have not visited before. Boarding the ...
This was our first transatlantic trip. We have sailed on Norwegian before and really had no issues. I can't say enough about the staff they were great, friendly and accommodating. My husband uses a walker, and they attended to his needs at all times. Love the performances and shows, except the one duo, who had no personality at all on stage, they looked bored. The Entertainment Team did an ...
