i cruised on this ship november 2018 shortly after it came out of its dry dock from rome to miami, the ship had to change one of it's crankshafts for one of its engines, this worked out great since we had 2 1/2 days in spain we missed the next island because of a storm but it was worth being in Spain that length of time, ncl did a great job with the dry dock, i liked that they took out the kids ...

Our friends who we cruise with every couple of years suggested this cruise and we loved the itinerary and wanted to try the Star. We did this cruise back to back with the Caribbean cruise after this one. Embarkation in Civvi was very easy; we were not in the suites waiting area long at all, the concierge basically said welcome, and a butler came by and escorted us onto the ship. He took us to ...

No information provided by NCL on where to find the shuttle bus in Civitavecchia from the train. Aft facing Penthouse suite had serious mold issue at our arrival that was never resolved. We chose this room and cruise specifically to relax. We couldn’t even sleep well with the horrible air quality let alone relax in the suite. We both ended up sick by the end of the cruise. Room did not look ...

This was 20th cruise, only 3rd with NCL. We booked this particular cruise as we wanted a relaxing getaway, and this cruise was a great deal, with an itinerary we wanted. ( transatlantic). This is the first cruise review I’ve wrote, I wanted to write a review as I just read a Very negative review of this same cruise stating it was disgusting etc. My spouse and I had no complaints about this ...

Instead of flying from Rome to Canada, chose to do a TA with some interesting places and some heat, we then switched to the Celebrity Summit to do a one week southern Caribbean. Despite disappointment with the Jewel itinerary changes,we had a great time. Embarkation and disembarkation were easy. Ship was old, mid-size, but had more offerings and character than some larger ships. Inside ...

Due to weather we missed one port which could not be avoided I guess. Disappointed with entertainment. Production company and Russian arial act only decent evening entertainment. Lady violinist should have had prime time and put juggler, hypnotist, magic act and others during afternoon. Producers need to watch America’s Got Talent and recruit entertainers as what we saw was amateurish. Miss crew ...

We just returned from a 14 day Transatlantic crossing on the Star. While we enjoyed the cruise mostly because of the wonderful fellow guests we met, I must warn you about cabin 8015. We had a mostly non-functioning toilet for the first 6 days of the cruise despite the plumbers coming at least 5 times to "fix" it. Finally, we were offered an opportunity to switch our cabin. (There had been a ...

Transatlantic Cruise- first time I have done this. I read the reviews prior to departure and it was mixed so I had an open miind. I am here to say that this is a bad ship and they earned every part of it. Entertainment was the best. Dining rooms were nice, good food and friendly staff but a little slow. The Garden Cafe food was bad as was the service. The cruise director should be unplugging ...

We took this cruise from Rome to Ft Lauderdale because it was a great price and I liked the stops. I wanted to see Barcelona. I was on my bucket list. It was quick and easy to get on but very slow getting off. I walk with a cane so I took a wheelchair which sped up the process. Our cabin E623 was obstructed view. It had plenty of space for 2.womens clothes. We took anytime dining and ...
