We chose this cruise largely due to the great itinerary (Italy, Greece and Malta) and the price (November is low season and prices were good, but more on that later). We embarked on November 2 and disembarked November 12. The ship is very, very large, and was much more crowded than we expected, given that fewer ships sail the Mediterranean in November than, say, summertime. We did a combination of ...
After more than 50 cruises (even because I am a retired ship auditor), this was my first crossing, which we decided to take because my son-in-law is one of the ship's officers and my daughter and grandson were together on this trip.
We boarded the ship at Rome-Civitavecchia and disembarked at Miami 13 days later.
I've been on board this ship many times for shipboard audits and I know well ...
Ok, first the good. The food is pretty reasonable. We eat at speciality restaurants , the buffet and the three included restaurants. Manhattan room restaurant was a bitt too big and noisy for us but the others were very nice. The restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food good. The speciality restaurants were great and $25 extra for Lobster seemed fair. There were garlic ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have not cruised on Oceania before, but got the brochure and it had places we wanted to go. This was our first post -covid cruise.
We had bought our cruise just before the Simply More promotions- so wine was not included.
Overall, it was a very nice ship-we had a few issues with the trim in our cabin popping off and problems with the sliding ...
The reviews had me very nervous about MSC Divina, but the naysayers were wrong. We had a very good experience on this ship and found the staff, food, and overall experience to be way above what others have said.
First, the most common complaints are about things beyond MSC’s control. The cruise line can’t control the rudeness of guests, nor can they control the way the Greek government runs ...
I chose this cruise because of its itinerary; in particular, Italy and Spain ports. I was very satisfied with booking process and the help I re wives from NCL agents . NCL had good pricing and promotions like drink package, on board credit, 150 min of free WIFI, and specialty dining. We were happy with our stateroom(10th floor, window) and our steward. Overall, the NCL staff was friendly, ...
We did a nine-day Mediterranean cruise on the Breakaway with our four (mostly teenage) children. We have cruised on NCL and RC previously. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this ship, though there are certainly some drawbacks when you are sharing a ship with four thousand other people. The seemingly endless upselling can also get to be a drag.
Here’s more detailed ...
An excellent trip. However, Santorini and Mykonos were bummers. The weather was uncomfortably HOT the entire trip.
The buffet is not an option. So crowded you couldn't get to the food or drinks. If you did get past all the rude people to get a plate of food, there was nowhere to sit to eat it.
I thought the entertainment was wonderful, however, also too crowded. Syd Norman's never had ...
We did 2 cruises, back to back on Oceania Nautica, starting on 2 August for 23 days in the Med. I can honestly say "We Loved It"
Several reviews I had read were not glowing about this ship and I was a bit apprehensive but it was great. We were in Concierge level 1, which in hindsight was not necessary to have a great trip.
The extras included for that cabin were, a bottle of champagne on ...
Was on a cruise previously with Norwegian.
The service was excellent then and we dicided to go with their bigger ship this time round. The service, food, restaurants, staff and entertainment (Leo in particular) all superb and would do again.
Leo from the Philippines played the guitar and mouth organ in one of the bar areas and was absolutely top notch. His ability to remember people's names ...
