Best ever cruise, best ever vacation

We are retired couple who have traveled all over the world, we wanted to try one of the upscale cruise lines as we have been unhappy with most of the gigantic ship lines. We got the penthouse suite which is only like the 3 category up and it was fabulous, plenty of room, walk in closest, large balcony. People say the rooms are old but everything looked immaculate to us and perfect working ...

Disappointingly average with serious housekeeping issues

My wife and I are cruisers of 20 years and this was our first time on Regent. We chose back-to-back cruises in the Eastern Med in a Mariner suite and we were extremely disappointed by our experience. The ship, the dining, the entertainment were all painfully average, but the trip was totally marred by housekeeping issues. A stain on a sheet on the first night was changed quickly and efficiently. ...

I recently returned from a 10-day Mediterranean Rome-Venice cruise. It met all my expectations and was a delightful and memorable experience. I have only a few complaints and none of them ruined my vacation. The best part of the trip was the service. I wanted for nothing during the trip. My cabin steward brought me everything I needed. You could have anything delivered by room service. If ...

We had been looking to book a Regent cruise for a while but couldn't get the dates to suit us but with a few weeks to spare (with OH available) we managed to secure this cruise. This was our 6th cruise but first time with Regent and we found everything as good as advertised. The ship itself was a good size and not too many passengers so you could always get a seat wherever you wanted ...

Our cruise from Rome to Barcelona June 10-17, 2015 was outstanding. Embarkation was fast and efficient. We were in Concierge E Category and had 200 minutes of free WiFi. WiFi connections was best in the computer room. Food in the main dining room as well as in the specialty restaurants was very good as well as service. Free tours were good to very good and there were many options to choose ...

I recently sailed on the Regent Mariner on a 10 day Mediterranean cruise. It left from Rome and finished in Venice. I was sailing along with 12 other members of my family- it was somewhat of a family reunion for us. We did spend one night in Rome as part of the cruise package. The hotel was lovely and served us a great breakfast. The name of the hotel was the Hotel Majestic. We were transported ...

We took the RSSC Mariner from Rome to Barcelona on a 10 night cruise. From the day we made our reservation, we found RSSC very difficult to deal with. A day after we made the reservation, they lowered the price. They refused to adjust our fair. They did upgrade our room to concierge class, but without any pre-cruise amenities. When we got to Civitavecchia, there were several RSSC employees at the ...

First cruise with Regent and had read good reviews so was looking forward to the experience. The itinerary looked great with a port stop each day and the all-inclusive offer was also appealing. It is a great bonus that Regent offer a nights pre cruise hotel accommodation and transfer to the ship as part of their package. Whilst the hotel was adequate and a city transfer was offered it was a long ...

The Pros and Cons of Cruising on Regent

This was our second Mediterranean cruise with Regent. We had previously traveled on the Voyager from Monte Carlo to Athens, arriving in Athens as the city began a strike. Despite many weather problems that eliminated a lot of port stops, it was a great cruise. The social director was terrific (Jamie) and Regent went above and beyond in taking care of us during Athens' civil strife. We weren't ...

Regent market their all inclusive Regent experience as including a pre cruise "luxury” hotel stay  although I believe that this will be limited to the more expensive suites from 2014? We were disappointed to learn some time after booking the cruise that our hotel was to be the Sheraton Golf which is situated near to the airport and in a semi industrial area and a long way from Rome, our starting ...
