1-10 of 19 Rome (Civitavecchia) to the Mediterranean Regent Seven Seas Explorer Cruise Reviews
Unfortunately, The Regent Experience was not even close to what we were expecting.
1-. The staff is great and friendly, but there is no leadership and lack of training. That results in very poor service and sometimes no service at all, a lot of confusion and frustration. To be able to get a drink or a soda, was at times imposible.
2-. The quality of the food is average at best, I would ...
We booked this cruise for the itinerary, and because the dates fit. Regent is more expensive than our usual cruise, but we wanted to see if it was worth the money; it was not, which is why the cruise only received 3 stars.
We had booked a 14 day cruise. Three months before the sailing date, Regent sent us a notice that the cruise itinerary was being dramatically changed, dropping many cities ...
We chose Regent based on prior experience. This was our 4th cruise, and on this beautiful new ship Explorer everything was even better than we remembered. Crew, amenities, excursions, food -- all just absolutely top notch! We embarked in Rome, and stopped at multiple locations in Italy, France and Spain. Valencia as a real highlight for us, as was Florence. But every port was great. ...
Chose this cruise (Rome to Miami) for the ship and the TransAtlantic experience.
The food, cabin staff and dining staff service were absolutely first rate. This was our first "all-inclusive" cruise experience and we found it very relaxing not to always be reaching for your cabin card.
The entertainment was generally above average, although the magician did a juvenile routine that clearly ...
This was cruise #3 with Regent. The experience on the Explorer was the best. Everyone was like the former Cheers show where "everyone knows your name." Amazing memories of staffers who may have only seen you once or twice the entire week. Must have access to the photos of cruisers to have those memories.
Loved the new ship. If someone couldn't have a good time on the ship, they can't have ...
Hello jakethesnake55! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your recent cruise aboard Seven Seas Explorer. Exciting details are still to come regarding our newest ship Seven Seas Splendor....
The best of the best new ship....
Luxury "All Inclusive"
Every part of the cruise from the beginning up until the last 2 days. 14 day cruise. here is why this is important and relevant.
1. The "cruise consultant" was very terse and abrupt. this was the person responsible for booking future cruises. i was so excited about this cruise. *(grand suite, spent more than $50,000 for 14 days ...
WE chose this cruise as we were flying into Rome and needed to get to Lisbon and the itinerary had most places we have never visited or were on our hit list of places to see. Our cabin was fantastic, the bed great and the bathroom outstanding. We have travelled with Regent before and were looking forward to trying the new ship. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The excursions we did ...
We got off the Explorer two days ago. It was our first crossing and it was wonderful. The Explorer is a beautiful ship in all respects. The decor is elegant and is obvious lots of money and thought went into it. We loved everything about the cruise.
Cabin: Even though Regent's cabins are larger than most cruise lines, this cabin was much bigger. Lots of drawers (including the bathroom), ...
In reviewing our recent cruise on the Explorer I will no doubt repeat what others have previously mentioned but I believe those opinions should be reinforced. Let me begin by saying the cruise was enjoyable mainly because of the excellent service. I was less impressed by the decor and layout of the ship itself.
One reviewer described the decor as "exuberant"; a description I wholeheartedly ...
This was a disappointment made less pleasant by negative customer relations attitude. To put into perspective we are regular Regent cruisers in recent years (having also used Seabourn and Silversea), and indeed have a further cruise booked with Regent in 2017 on Voyager.
Overnight in Rome was in a good hotel to which we would return - the Westin Excelsior. Well positioned too. Regent agent ...
