According to Cruise Critic this ship has issues and many reports from passengers are not positive at all. Our experience with Princess Cruises has always been positive so we went along with the booking we wanted.

Great web site that is easy to navigate and where you can do all your bookings. A note about payment for excursions. You can book excursions ...
I chose this cruise because it was going where I wanted to go at the time I wanted to go. I cruised on the Crown Princess from Rome to Ft. Lauderdale. My friend and I had a balcony cabin on the Baja deck. I found the balcony cabin to be smaller than other cruise lines I have traveled on. The beds were in twin position and were hardly separated enough to walk between. There was no sofa and ...
We took this cruise from Rome to Ft Lauderdale on Apr 3 to Apr 17, because it was a great price. One port, Genoa, was changed to Livorno, Italy because a bridge collapsed in Genoa. Another port, Tulu, was skipped due to high winds, which was disappointing but understandable. We have enjoyed at least 10 other Princess cruises and we felt that the dining service and food were not as good as on ...
Always wanted to experience a transatlantic cruise. The Crown Princess was great. Entertainment was less than desirable! Food was good. Ports were great. Getting to the ship from the train station (Civitavecchia) was a very bad experience. There were a few people that didn’t have a clue how to get to the ship. The shuttle never stopped at their Shuttle Stop! We had to walk to the ship from the ...
This review includes information on our November 3, 2018, Mediterranean Passage transatlantic cruise on the Crown Princess. We combined this cruise with a 5-night precruise stay in Rome, with side trips to Ostia Antica and Orvieto.
CRUISE ITINERARY: MEDITERRANEAN PASSAGE (14 DAYS)
Civitavecchia, Italy; Genoa, Italy (canceled); Livorno, Italy (added); Toulon, France (canceled); Barcelona, ...
We wanted a transatlantic cruise, and Rome was an attractive port in which to spend pre-cruise days. Genoa, Toulon, Barcelona, and especially Azores, were all interesting ports. Genoa was dropped, and replaced with Livorno about 12 days before sailing. We couldn’t stop in Toulon due to rough seas and high winds. Barcelona and Azores were wonderful, but at least 4 of our 9 sea days were very ...
We were a group of six friends and loved being together on this cruise. I love Rome, great city to start in for a Mediterranean cruise. Itinerary was great visiting Barcelona, Florence and Ponta Delgada in the Azore Islands.
The entertainment was superb on this cruise and I come from the event and party business and love theatre and live entertainment and loved the production shows especially. ...
Selected this cruise because of the date and location. We were very interested in seeing the various stops as we had not yet been to some of them. Getting on the ship was really easy and we had our card and boarded without waiting in any lines. The priority boarding arranged by the agency we used was great.
Unfortunately, the stop in Florence was a disaster. We paid $110 each to Princess ...
We sailed with Princess eight times in the past but this was the worst. The biggest problem was Princess does not enforce hand sanitizing of passengers in areas serving food like the buffet. Passengers were grabbing food with their hands as they tried to figure out how to work the tongs, needless to say many got sick on the cruise including me, my wife and the other couple we traveled with. ...
Ship was just OK - nothing to write home about. Bed was wonderful and large TV was a nice touch. Wait staff in Botticelli dining room was fantastic! Nelson and his crew were outstanding! Unfortunately the food was less so. Embarkation in Rome was unbelievably quick and easy - best ever in all of our cruises! Seas were very rough early on in the cruise and we could not make port in Toulon,France ...
