First Time Cruiser

We sailed on the Sirena last fall as part of a college alumni association. 2 weeks in the Mediterranean with 9 ports of call, embarking from Civitavecchia-Rome and disembarking in Barcelona. 1st ever cruise for us and we loved it. Sirena is a small liner (664 berths) compared to the 5000-6000 berth floating islands we saw at ports along the way. There was lot of attention to detail and ...

We chose this cruise because of an itinerary that included southern Italy, Greek Islands (including Santorini and Mykonos) and Venice. After we booked, the Santorini port was changed to Gythion. This was very disappointing since we considered Santorini an iconic Greek island that we did not want to miss. As it turned out, weather prohibited us from tendering into Mykonos, so we missed both of ...

Have travelled on Sirena once before and also on Oceania's Riviera. Service on board apart from the drinks service was excellent. Food sadly was a let down. We sent back a total of five main courses. The menu at the Grand Dining Room had shrunk considerably from our last cruises. Red Ginger and Tuscan Steak House menu's haven't changed in the past four years. Ports of call were handled well as ...

This was our second cruise on Oceania. We chose it because of the food. While others may have had a different experience, on both of the Oceania cruises we took, the food was superior to Crystal and Silverseas. I have nothing against either of these cruise lines and in some respects, they are superior to Oceania, but not when it comes to food. So, let me start with the food. There is an ...

We LOVE Oceania and this was our tenth cruise with them. They treat you like royalty! Service, food, cleanliness, hospitality, are all excellent. I cannot think of anything negative to say. Embarkation went smoothly and so did disembarkation. All the staff were friendly, polite, and efficient. The beds in the cabin are excellent and so comfortable. Oceania is known for their comfortable ...

We have been on over fifty cruises, and oceania has by far the best food. In the Terrace Cafe grilled lobster, jumbo shrimp, and lamb chops are served nightly. Dining is even available outdoors on the stern of the ship. Some other passenger reviews are not as complimentary, but everyone we spoke to enjoyed the food. The service staff are most efficient and polite. The ship entertainers are ...

Chose Oceania as been on them 4 times previously. Have noticed some things have changed. Most concerning is that children are now cruising on Oceania. Where parents are inclined to leave children to do their own thing and allow them to dine in Terraces Cafe on their own while parents go off and dine in other places. Children are let to roam freely on the ship without a parent in ...

We've sailed on Oceania several times before, and we knew what to expect. A very comfortable, relaxed and intimate ambiance with great food and company. Our little cabin was perfectly formed, with brand new fittings and furnishings. The entertainers were (in most cases) better than on previous Oceania cruises. The food throughout the voyage was fantastic. The menu in Red Ginger has improved ...

Overall great cruise. We went at the end of May and the weather was perfect -- hot during the day, sunny, and pleasant at night. Food is fantastic on the Sirena and there's a good choice of on-board restaurants and dining venues. Highly recommend both Tuscan Steak and Red Ginger especially. Jacques Bistro for lunch was very nice too. Drinks are expensive but there are 2/1 priced happy hours ...
