1-10 of 11 Rome (Civitavecchia) to Europe - Western Mediterranean Oceania Riviera Cruise Reviews
The overall cruise experience was outstanding. The accommodations were first class and the bed was very comfortable, but the shower was too small. We also had a choice of movies on our flat-screen. The food was very good--especially the Red Ginger restaurant. The staff was very helpful and the string quartet was wonderful. We loved the afternoon tea and wished we had gone more than once. ...
My first cruise and I doubt I could have chosen a better cruise line. Only disappointment was a change in the itinerary eliminating the Athens departure which was changed to Rome and the fact that the sun did not shine every day. My group of eight spent two days in Rome prior to boarding Riviera. As with most advertising I was prepared for the ship not meeting the expectations created by the ...
We selected this cruise for the itinerary and specific ports. We believed Oceania was in the luxury category, and the Riveria would be a lovely ship with excellent food and service, even though the entertainment would be limited to that of larger cruise lines. We arrived at the cruise terminal and check in went quickly. However, there was a considerable walk to the ship over gravel with carry ...
We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary! My husband's brother and wife also celebrated their 50th anniversary a few months earlier so we cruised together! Fantastic experience with Oceania...our dining experience each night was great... although my husband enjoyed the Polo Club the best... the entertainment was just superb, especially the flamenco guitarist.. Our staterooms were ...
We loved everything about this cruise except for the wifi. So let me get that out of the way first. Oceania, you MUST upgrade the wifi. Really a shame that you are charging for this, and it doesn't work about half the time. A real rip off, and not up to your standards. MANY guests were complaining about it, remarking it was the only negative on an otherwise perfect trip. It was particularly ...
My husband and I traveled for our anniversary to the ports of Amalfi, Sardinia, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, Marseille and Monto Carlo. We had been on Carnival and Celebrity cruises twenty years prior and decided we were not "cruise people." This cruise line changed our minds!
The ship was elegantly decorated, our cabin was large for cruising (B2 veranda), the employees always were ...

This was my first cruise with Oceania Cruise Lines. I have sailed with Carnival and Princess in the past. I was so impressed by first, the information provided by Oceania concerning our embarkation, the excursions available, the personalized "Cruise Vacation Guide" and the telephone assistance that I received concerning my choice of excursions. My second good impression was the organized and ...
to be absolutely clear: the Ship is in perfect condition, cabins are well spaced and very well equiped even with marble bathrooms. Teak Deck wherever you go. Food is outstanding (IMHO better than Azamara or Celebrity) and Specialty Restaurants are included.
Nevertheless we are a bit disappointed. Why? Let me explain: what we love with cruising is that feeling of a common journey with the Ship, ...
This was our first cruise, so we had nothing to compare. However, we did our research and chose Oceania because of the great ratings. The Riviera is certainly a beautiful new ship, and our amenities were excellent in our Concierge Suite. Don't think we would bother with the whole Concierge level again, as the advantages of paying more were not apparent. You get an extra lounge with tea coffee and ...
