The suite was great, food was wonderful, but not a lot to do on the ship.
"The cabin was incredible. Way more luxurious and roomier than the photos show. The media room was the hangout place for the wife and I, as they had every movie and TV show you could want on their DVR. This cabin is..."Read More

Hard to beat their cuisine and value!

Oceania's Riviera and Marina, by our account, do have the best cuisine of any cruise line. Add their culinary classes and they're a foodie's choice in cruising. Its not a perfect experience, the entertainment, communication, shipboard decor, all fall behind other luxury brands. But for the price and what's included they are hard to beat. Of the five alternative dining venues, all are very good ...

We wanted to revisit Ravenna and like the Artist Loft when Graham Denison is Artist in residence. The travel arrangements were not as we expected and at disembarkation in Nice we had a big problem over the battery for my mobility scooter, although it was approved by British Airways. They were ok in the end but it meant we had no time in the lounge relaxing. This is the second time we have had a ...

First the positives: The food, the food, and the food As a lobster lover, my goal was to eat some form of lobster every day and I succeeded in that goal! Despite what others have written, Toscana was our absolute favorite and we were happy we were able to get a second reservation there toward the end of our cruise. It almost seemed as if the wait staff tried extra hard to provide an ...

TERRIBLE INTERNET AND SHOWS BUT EXCELLENT CUISINE AND CABIN SERVICE

Internet was terrible even with assistance onboard!! Shows and entertainment were subpar for any cruise line!!!!! The concierge service is non-existant--never available or do not have answers or make no effort to help. Reception almost as inept.--they need lessons from ritz hotels!! however, the cuisine and food service was excellent in the grand dining room and all specialty restaurants except ...

The cabin was incredible. Way more luxurious and roomier than the photos show. The media room was the hangout place for the wife and I, as they had every movie and TV show you could want on their DVR. This cabin is supposedly the third best of the cabin selections, but if you ask me, it should be second. The top was the owner's suite, which was way too lavish for my tastes. It has a grand piano ...

Loved the ship, and the crew extended themselves to make certain we were comfortable. A few glitches with the transfer from Rome airport to ship, hopefully future passengers won't have to endure a 3 hour bus ride with no bathroom breaks after getting of overseas flights. Food was perfect, lots of choices. We did not take advantage of entertainment , were too tired after long days in port. The ship ...

I should note before beginning this review that I am not Oceania's target audience. My husband and I are 30, and were some of the younger people on the boat. This doesn't mean that we didn't enjoy the cruise--we did, but the areas we found lacking were something that we expected knowing Oceania's reputation. I should also mention that we were traveling with my parents (50-60) so the opinions ...

This was our first cruise, so we had nothing to compare. However, we did our research and chose Oceania because of the great ratings. The Riviera is certainly a beautiful new ship, and our amenities were excellent in our Concierge Suite. Don't think we would bother with the whole Concierge level again, as the advantages of paying more were not apparent. You get an extra lounge with tea coffee and ...

We have travelled on both Riviera and its sister ship Marina, I believe Marina has the edge in staff friendliest, attention to detail . The additional restaurants were all good with the exception of Toscana and the food ordinary at best where we tried 3 times, the service was appalling, The show was smoke and mirrors but no quality food Cabin size was very good , room service excellent , ...

Before the cruise, I read some negative reviews of the quality going down after the NCL acquisition of Oceania. And the quality of their tours is not that always good. In our case, thankfully, the crew in this cruise is the best out of our 3 experience. And the Oceania tour we took in Jerusalem + Bethlehem was fine. Excellent wait staff at Polo Grill and Toscana. Our stateroom ...
