"This was our second Oceania cruise, having sailed on the Marina on a Baltic cruise last year. The Riviera is a carbon copy of the Marina in floor plan and every bit as beautiful. We chose cabin 9050 (which is the A3..."Read More

1-10 of 40 Rome (Civitavecchia) Oceania Riviera Cruise Reviews
We sailed on the Riviera from Rome to Barcelona.
Some background: we ar a couple in our early fifties from Canada. We sailed previously on Celebrity, RCI, Princess, HAL, Cunard, Costa and Carnival. This was our first Oceania cruise.
Things we liked:
Embarkation was very smooth and quick. Literally few minutes we wee on board.
The size of the ship is perfect. Not too big and not too ...
We chose to do our first Oceania cruise based on the itinerary, the ship and the cuisine. We booked directly with Oceania and our Cruise Concierge, Sydney was most helpful throughout the process. We were sailing from Rome to Monte Carlo for 7 nights and chose a Concierge Veranda stateroom. We arrived at Civitavecchia by transfer with Rome Cabs, at 11.30 and with no queues, everyone was being ...
Excellent food in all the restaurants, including the Terrace Cafe, which was buffet style. It was not your typical buffer, however, with sushi, lobster and other stations hosting delicious food. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool deck was plenty big and they put comfortable lounging and seating around the entire ship. This ship is geared towards older adults and as 50 ...
Our first ever ocean crossing, on Riviera was as effortless as could be. Smooth seas and fine weather. Aside from a kitchen that couldn’t keep up one evening in the main dining room, service was great throughout the ship and over the whole trip. No complaints that made any difference to the enjoyment of our trip.
A few observations that Oceania might consider but it’s really about fine ...
The cruise was superb, nice stops , great service, cleanliness at the highest level.
The food everywhere was superb, highlights were Jacques first, Red Ginger a close second, Toscana s and Polo. The best salad certainly was the Watermelon and Duck salad served at Red Ginger. The Tournedos Rossini at Jacques was incredible as well as the Mille Feuilles dessert. At Toscana s I had The Filet ...
I chose this cruise because it coincided with a wedding we were attending in Italy. Ours was the Western Mediterranean cruise which departed June 14, 2017. Our friends had cruised on the Riviera and highly recommended it. We couldn't have had a more wonderful cruise. The staff is very attentive. Nothing is ever a problem as far as they are concerned. The food is five star and the ship is ...
Nothing but great things to say about this cruise line.
Food was amazing both in the specialty restaurants and in the general dining areas. Highly recommend stopping at the gelato stand:) Whether you went for a simple burger or hot dog at Waves Grill (both very fresh and excellent) or you dined in one of the four specialty restaurants, there is really nothing you can complain about. Some ...
We travelled on the Riviera for the first time last year and loved it so much we had to sail again with them and we were not disappointed.
The Food, Service, Cabin & Entertainment were as good as last year.
The itinerary provided us a port intensive cruise which we enjoy allowing us to walk around local port at our leisure & hop back on the ship for a bite to eat when we wanted too.
When ...
We picked this cruise because of the dates and the itinerary. The ship is very lovely with beautiful art throughout the public areas. Our cabin was very spacious with lots of room for clothes, toiletries, etc. We booked an excursion in every port with Oceania and this was a BIG mistake - very expensive and not good. Some excursions were cancelled and there were none that they could offer us as ...
This was our 18th cruise, having cruised aboard most of the major lines (Princess, RCCL,Holland America) and we found the Rivieria to be the most comfortable and relaxing ship we have been aboard.
Our balcony cabin on the 8th deck had the usual grade of amenities, and a marble bath with a separate tub that also serves as a second shower. We found more storage space then we needed, and the ...
