This was our 8th Cruise on Oceania. We sailed May 17, 2018 from Rome to Venice on an 8 day cruise. We've always felt in the past sailing on Oceania was worth the extra cost over some of the mainstream cruiselines. However, changes that Oceania made on this cruise different from other European cruises in the past on the Riveria makes me question which cruise line I will use in the future. The ...

Not worth it and won't choose Oceania again

We chose this review for the itinerary, hoping for an upscale smaller ship. 1) My primary reason for given this such a poor review was that the staff was really not great. This has to be the first cruise where we encountered absolutely unfriendly staff. Most of them did not want to be there it felt like. Only our room attendant & the gentleman staffing the gym, were charming and always ...

We've been customers of Regent and wanted to try Oceania since they are part of the same company. We had a fantastic time with our friends and I hesitated to select average in my overall rating because I believe my true rating would be somewhere between average and very good. However, I hesitate to select 'very good' because it did not live up to my expectations based on what is advertised, and ...

We were so excited to go on this trip. I heard so much about this ship, however it wasn't anything that I expected. The ship was not clean and very worn. The conceirge service wasn't friendly. They only answered "No" to everything. I didn't see any of the workers really happy, They never smiled. I understand the company was sold to Norweigian cruise line. I also understand that the ship is ...

Missing the "Original" Oceania Experience

This was our 6th cruise in the last 8 years. Three cruises have been on Celebrity and 3 on Oceania. First let me say that we have had good experiences on both. However, up until this last cruise I would have put Oceania in a clear higher category of service. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. If you had never traveled when it was the "Original" Oceania, you would probably be quite ...

Being avid cruisers, we have experienced all major cruise lines. It's time to try Oceania Riviera that is new to us. The ship The ship is well maintained. What we liked: the Atrium, the Horizon observation lounge. So-so things: a single pool for 1250 passengers. What we did not like at all: inconvenient theater with low ceiling, no promenade deck, no open views forward, spa ...

This is our fifth cruise and it was chosen because of the size of ship and the ports visited. Booked through a travel agent and all forms and tickets arrived prior to leaving our home base. Able to logon to the website and prefill details and preferences for cruise as well as book shore excursions and book restaurants. Our weather perfect, seas smooth so great conditions. We were really ...

Disappointed felt standards had slipped from previous cruise. Dress standards had been lowered people with jeans and t shirts allowed into grand dining room. Food also in grand dining room below expectations sent back 2 meals on the same night. Next table also sent back meals as well! Shower was not clean and had to ask for the mildew to be removed from base. Carpet also needed cleaning. As I ...

Very "professional" with a lack of "warmth and hospitality"

to be absolutely clear: the Ship is in perfect condition, cabins are well spaced and very well equiped even with marble bathrooms. Teak Deck wherever you go. Food is outstanding (IMHO better than Azamara or Celebrity) and Specialty Restaurants are included. Nevertheless we are a bit disappointed. Why? Let me explain: what we love with cruising is that feeling of a common journey with the Ship, ...
