This was a transatantic from rome to new york. i did this cruise last year on ncl epic and didn't much like it, but i've been on the gem and other gem class ships and you were never in doublt you were on a ship, no matter where you were. it looked like a cruise ship, smelt like a cruise ship everyone knew. the giant floating shopping centers don't appeal to me. i don't want to have to board ...

We chose this transatlantic cruise because of its port intensive itinerary. The added attraction was that it was scheduled to only have 4 consecutive days at sea. We ended up having 6 days at sea because the ship was unable to dock in Ponta Delgado due to poor weather. Food in all venues was excellent. No complaints there. Ship ran out of tea within the first few days & coffee towards the ...

We chose this cruise because it was going to interesting places we hadn't seen before, and finishing in New York. Firstly we would mention that the ship was very nice, as was our room. On the whole, the food was very good, (on many occasions, could be hotter) and in most cases the staff were excellent. However in regard to organisation, It was a shambles! Half way through the cruise they ran out ...

Before I begin my review of the cruise, I want to say that we are Sapphire with NCL. That means that we have spent a few days cruising with NCL and have seen many changes over the past few years. We cruised 46-days with NCL in 2023 alone. If you think that this is leading up to a bad review then you would be correct. While there were many good things about this cruise, like some of the ...

We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. 11 ports and finishing up in New York City. We were going to visit our daughter in Virginia after the cruise. We spent three nights in Rome. Weather was fabulous, however many Italians were on vacation for the all saints break. Rome consequently it was very very crowded. We still enjoyed it and explored areas we have not visited before. Boarding the ...

This was our first transatlantic trip. We have sailed on Norwegian before and really had no issues. I can't say enough about the staff they were great, friendly and accommodating. My husband uses a walker, and they attended to his needs at all times. Love the performances and shows, except the one duo, who had no personality at all on stage, they looked bored. The Entertainment Team did an ...

I chose this cruise because I enjoy transatlantic sailings. We embarked at Civitavecchia, visited Livorno, Cannes, Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon, Ponta Delgada and disembarked at my home port, New York City. We had seven fun filled sea days. There were alot of trivia games offered. NCL Escape has great entertainment and dining was also very good. Lobster is offered as an upcharge in ...

We had never done a transatlantic before and we're not getting any younger, so we figured now or never...and never wasn't an option. We had a Mediterranean cruise on the Escape canceled in May, 2020 and were determined to do this one. The ship itself was practically spotless. The crew was extremely friendly, always smiling and greeting you in the hallways. Our cabin steward, Ryan, was superb. ...

The Cruise itinerary was fantastic. We stopped at ports in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and Bermuda. Our visits to all were very good. San Miguel island in the Azores especially was terrific. We also like that NCL allows travelers to bring wine on board with a $15 per bottle corkage fee. This was a big factor for us because the allegedly free liquor package in our program was not free. ...
