"I can honestly say "We Loved It" Several reviews I had read were not glowing about this ship and I was a bit apprehensive but it was great. We ate most of our meals on the terrace deck buffet at the rear of the ship which had many choices and great desserts...."Read More

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Nautica

We are a 70+ couple with over 60 cruises under our belt. We did this cruise mainly because of the ‘best food at sea’ Oceania prides itself. Well, we found that this claim is not much more than just advertising. The food was good, but certainly not at the level of a six star ship. We normally do enjoy dinner in the main dining room, but on this ship the menu was very limited and uninspiring. We ...

We did 2 cruises, back to back on Oceania Nautica, starting on 2 August for 23 days in the Med. I can honestly say "We Loved It" Several reviews I had read were not glowing about this ship and I was a bit apprehensive but it was great. We were in Concierge level 1, which in hindsight was not necessary to have a great trip. The extras included for that cabin were, a bottle of champagne on ...

You could call it a smoking cruise

Good cruise, which could have been better. Sad to report and review. Smoke and smoking affected everything. On board. In our room, verranda and walking on ninth and tenth floors. We couldn't use our verranda on the eight floor. We had friends on the seventh floor who also complained of the smell. There was cigarette and cigar smoking from our first to last day on board, ship. It's a safety ...

Nice Late Fall Mediterranean Cruise But with Some Hiccups

We chose this cruise primarily for the ports included in the itinerary. In addition we wanted to try a smaller ship. We had sailed twice on the Oceania Riviera and in both instances had excellent experiences. We hoped that on a smaller ship the service wold be even one notch higher. Overall we enjoyed the cruise. However we were a little disappointed with our experience on the Nautica. We ...

Not a ship, or cruise line, I would use again

We recently returned from a cruise around Italy. We traveled with friends who made the arrangements using Oceania Cruise lines. The ship we traveled on is named Nautica. My wife and I have cruised with several different cruise lines on ten prior occasions. The Nautica is a small ship – 684 total passengers with a staff of 400. We came away feeling that the overall experience was at the bottom of ...

Shore Excursions lacking

This was an college alumni organized cruise and I had a group of friends that went with me on a cruise of the Mediterranean (Spain, France and Italy). The ship service and food was very good. Our cabin was kept spotless. The crew was extremely well-trained and helpful. However, I was very disappointed in the shore excursions. They were very touristy, and lacking in depth. I have cruised with ...

My husband and I were on the Nautica for the 10-day Western Europe Escapade. We sailed from the Port of Rome to Barcelona and then visited Cartagena, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Oporto, Portugal; Bilbao, Spain; and Bordeaux, France. It ended in Southhampton, from which we were bused to Heathrow. The very beginning of our cruise was also the worst part of it. I thought it would make things easier ...

October perfect weather for a ten-day Malta, Sicily, and Greek Isles. The spacious 288 penthouse cabin 8010 was a super location - slightly away from the elevator but close enough to be convenient. Our traveling companions were next door and we had the obliging staff remove the separating balcony panel allowing us to have one large balcony. We enjoyed the two specialty restaurants, The Polo ...

We enjoyed everything about our cruise which was booked through Go Next travel agency through the Brown University travelers. Our verandah state room was very nice although the bathroom was a little tight, especially the shower. We booked two more cruises on Oceania while on the ship. My wife enjoyed the spa. The food was plentiful and excellent with great variety. Internet service was good as ...

Good small ship experience with lite luxury

We have cruised many times with mid-size ships primarily on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess and wanted to see if we'd enjoy the "lite" luxury of Oceania. Pros: Small ship experience, no crowds. No art sales, photos & photos to buy/or not, no formal nights as found on mass-market cruises, which was very refreshing. Country club casual is not at the high end, versus Oceania's brochure ware. ...
