Rome (Civitavecchia) to the Middle East Cruise Reviews

It is a new cruise ship build cheap way. 3 tiny Swiming pools so it is so crowded you do t want to use it. We went from jaddah and there was 1/3 passenger capacity but it was really crowded around pools, buffets, bars. Staff is lovely but completely or trained so bartenders don’t know drinks, waiters have no clue what they do. In typical Italian way nobody knows anything. Which deck we disembark? ...

Just recently returned from NCL Spirit cruise that was suppose to be 21 days from Rome-Dubai, leaving on Feb. 11. This was changed because the ship was being refurbished and it was not ready. New date Feb. 14. We were not notified until 5 days before sailing, after we were in route to spend a few days in Rome. Because of this there were 4 ports that were deleted. Wow.. This was a ridiculous experience. First a couple days before sailing from Rome, we received notice that our trip was postponed by a few days.. and 4 ports were removed. Well, we were supposed to board a flight to Rome on Feb. 8 with sailing on the 11th. Now we were sailing late evening on the 14th and 4 major ports were taken away. No advance notice.. We were very excited about this cruise and choose celebrity with its great reputation and with this ship having so many sea days we wanted to make sure we had great food and great entertainment... we were in an aqua spa suit with balcony and on first impressions although it was dated it was very clean so we were happy well this didn’t last long... our room was above the main buffet so it was noisy ...

This was on the 28 day cruise from Rome to Singapore. 1.        The restrooms in the common area (levels 5, 6 and 7) had 50% or more consistently closed due to maintenance or were not functioning.  There must have been issues in construction or a maintenance issue for this to occur with such a new ship.  I reported this problem to the Passenger Service Desk. 2.       There was condensation ...

We have never taken a Norwegian cruise before and we will never take one again. We have cruised with Princess and Royal Caribbean. We were shocked by the constant nickel and diming on this cruise. So many things were an extra cost, including some items on the menu in the larger dinning rooms that on other cruise lines are free.
