Firstly if you like docking in industrial harbours surrounded by thousands of containers that are miles away from where you want to be this is the cruise for you....... Civitavecchia is almost 2 hours from Rome.......YES 2 HOURS!.... there's nothing to do and is completely run down .......The Port staff will not talk to you or help you with your luggage. We saw several old people struggle ...

First of all I want to say about the Pro's and then the Con's Pro's 1) Good quality of food 2) Most of the staff were friendly. 3) The cabin was ok. 4) The dinning experience was good. Con's 1) Doesn't have a dance club or a place for dancing. 2) 24 days and we only enjoy two shows. 3) The entertainment is only for older adults doesn't have dancing music, karaoke or any ...

The ports were great, but that might be it.

Royal Caribbean lost my luggage! On Saturday night, they instructed us to put our luggage outside of our room with their tag on it. The next day when we went to leave, we exited the boat and all but my luggage was there. Multiple employees helped to look, however, as we looked, our party of five missed the bus we paid $75 per person to ride to the airport. We had to take private transfer for ...

Wonderful cruise destinations, horrible food and horrible dining room service.

We choose this cruise because of the ports of call which were awesome, but I was informed on board they will no longer be doing this nine day itinerary. The ship is small and easy to get around which I liked and was well maintained. There is nothing spectacular about the atrium on this ship. The food in the buffet was horrible and was lacking in taste and quality. The food in the dining room was ...

We Chose this cruise as it was in June and the Price was good. As a Diamond + member things have gone downhill over the last 2 years. Cutbacks are there to improve profits and not for Cruises. The ship is in places grubby, some windows you can´t see through them they are so dirty. The A/C in the cabin was the worst ever, all the time we were in the cabin it was cough, cough, ...

Do not board this cruise in Civitavecchia unless you want to feel left-out!

Disclaimer: It is a longer review, but I think useful for anyone considering boarding in Civitavecchia. I will start by saying that we are experienced cruisers (10+ with various companies) so we can speak confidently about rights and wrongs regarding what we observed. It is still OUR experience and we are confident that the people that boarded in Barcelona did not feel this way (more on that ...

Nice ship, good ports, good service, terrible food

I wasn't even really expecting restaurant quality food, just reasonable banquet food. It failed to meet even that low expectation. This was my 4th (and last celebrity cruise). The food deteriorates with each cruise. I'm referring to both the main dining room, buffet and other non specialty restaurants. The food was both poor quality, ill prepared and lukewarm. In contrast the wine service ...

This is an excellent ship with great food and great service. Entertainment........all the guest entertainers flown onto the ship were excellent. Buffet........there was plenty of choice and nice food. We loved sitting in the open area at the back of the ship, and even saw some dolphins. Healthy eating.......the food in the Auqa Spa cafe was limited but delicious and a great way to ...

It was a nice ship and the rooms were kept clean but the food was not very good and the ship was geared towards older people. The only good meal we had was at the Crown Grill which we had to pay extra for. There was not much entertainment on the ship unless you wanted to pay $30 to play bingo, go to a knitting class or a seminar for your back! We picked it because of the great ports it was ...
