After more than 50 cruises (even because I am a retired ship auditor), this was my first crossing, which we decided to take because my son-in-law is one of the ship's officers and my daughter and grandson were together on this trip.
We boarded the ship at Rome-Civitavecchia and disembarked at Miami 13 days later.
I've been on board this ship many times for shipboard audits and I know well ...
My husband and I are in our 40's. This was our 5th HAL cruise, but it was our first time back with them since the pandemic. Our last HAL cruise was on the Koningsdam in the Caribbean, and we loved it! We were excited to try out her sister ship in European waters.
PRE-CRUISE
We spent 4 nights at an Airbnb near Termini in Rome. This was our 4th time in the Eternal City, so we skipped the major ...
Overall we had a great time, first TA and won't be the last.
PROS:
- Newish ship, modern, beautiful common areas and spaces. 4200 passengers, so felt crowded but never had a problem getting a lounge chair by the pool, table at Windjammer or table at main dinning room.
- Crew: probably the best we had in all of our cruises, friendly, attentive and just have to ask once for "special ...
We got a great deal for this cruise through our NCL cruise consultant and hence decided to book it straight away.
We flew to Rome via British Airways on the morning of the cruise. Flight was on time and we were transferred to Port of Civitavecchia promptly. Unfortunately when we got there, there were long queues. Since we had used NCL transfer package, our luggage was being transferred in ...
Ok, first the good. The food is pretty reasonable. We eat at speciality restaurants , the buffet and the three included restaurants. Manhattan room restaurant was a bitt too big and noisy for us but the others were very nice. The restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food good. The speciality restaurants were great and $25 extra for Lobster seemed fair. There were garlic ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have not cruised on Oceania before, but got the brochure and it had places we wanted to go. This was our first post -covid cruise.
We had bought our cruise just before the Simply More promotions- so wine was not included.
Overall, it was a very nice ship-we had a few issues with the trim in our cabin popping off and problems with the sliding ...
This review reflects our experiences on our recent cruise, reflects our personal preferences, and reflects what we have come to expect based on more than 35 cruises. This cruise was overall a very pleasant experience and is getting close to the pre-covid experience.
PRE-CRUISE: We drove to Ft. Lauderdale the day before the cruise and stayed at the Homewood Suites in Dania Beach ($269/night). ...
We chose this cruise to tick off a few things on our bucket list. Acropolis, Olympia. The chance to visit Rhodes and return to Malta was a bonus.
Returning to Reflection for a second time was a bonus as we previously really enjoyed the ship and its staff.
Having sailed Celebrity 12 months ago, we did see a slight decline in choice MDR menus, also cheaper options for evening entertainment ...
We chose Enchanted for its itinerary which ran from Rome to Athens in 7 days. We had previously sailed on the Royal for a 10 day UK itinerary so we knew what to expect from food, ship entertainment and value. While overall I still rate Princess 4 stars there are several changes that are worth mentioning. 4 big reasons I say Princess is driving me away. First, I purchased the cruise 9 months ...
Having sailed with Princess on previous occasions we booked a 7 night cruise on The Enchanted Princess. Cabins were up to the usual Princess standard, spotlessly clean with nice decor and very comfy beds. The ship overall is beautiful, with new lounges and 3 complimentary main dining rooms to choose from (Amalfi, Santorini and Capri) Food very good with plenty of choice. Its a big ship, but we ...
