The trip was chosen due to first class nature of the ship, the excursions, and the location. From the moment we boarded until we disembarked, it was an amazing trip full of adventure, new sites, some of the best tour guides and experienced and fabulous ship personnel. The cruise director was enthusiastic and knowledge and wanted everyone to have a great time. The restaurants were top notch and ...
This was our first Viking Ocean cruise. It will not be our last. The ship is beautiful. The amenities are spectacular from the plethora of areas to just take it easy to the spa. And all with no kids and no pressure to purchase anything else. The Chef's Table restaurant has awesome service and awesome food. We got the wine pairings with the meal and it was a 5 star experience. We also tried ...
Viking cruise is just like their advertising state, its a thinking man's cruise not a drinking man's. There is always interesting lecture regarding the history of your next port as well as the interesting people in the region. All the included tours are great as well as any of the added tours. The local tour guide are knowledgeable and make their tour interesting and they tend to include some ...
Viking Cruises are by far my favorite with excellent customer service, wonderful accommodations and delicious food. The excursions were well planned with knowledge tour guides. We knew when we boarded our excursion bus that we were going to learn about the local area and understand the history. Both my husband and I relaxed in the steam room and revived in the snow room. It was a treat to be so ...
Loved the cruise. Not very crowded but the staff and service was excellent. Had a great time on my excursion's that I took. Had great weather the entire trip. Had a great adventure as this was my first time cruising on a cruise ship. Got to have time to actually get to see the sights and then relaxing afterwards. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly, from the bartenders to the cabin crew. I ...
From start to finish another wonderful experience with Viking. We started our trip with a 3 day extension in Rome where we were placed in a 5 Star Hotel in the middle of the city, which gave us the opportunity to walk to so much of Rome.
Each port gave us so many choices of what/where to explore and we are grateful for those choices. As new explorers we didn't really know what places to choose ...
I loved all the interesting nooks to sit & read. After being off ship on excursions, I enjoyed eating a nice lunch & then reading my afternoon away. The staff were all wonderful! Mayte our room steward was fabulous. I appreciate the level of education for the shore excursion guides. Anton in Turkey was amazing! We purchased the spirits package so we enjoyed the bars. My husband liked the gym & ...
This was a chance to travel with my wife and her sister. The ship was very nice and it was easy access to everything. They had great areas to relax and read, visit, or knit (in my wife's case) It had great venues for meals and all the food was fantastic. But with three of us, dinner reservations could not be made until we got aboard the ship - a slight inconvenience. The cruise had very ...
This was literally the worst experience I have ever had on vacation. The staff were inept, their english terrible. They ignored all requests regardless of how serious. I was not alone in noting this, having met dozens of passengers with the same issues with the Guest services staff. The cleanliness of the cabin was horrible. I found the previous passengers trash under my bed, which remained there ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to see certain cities such as Rome, Pisa, Florence and Barcelona. We were not disappointed , but wished we could have spent more time in those cities. As always, the service of the entire crew was outstanding - warm, friendly and attentive to every detail. We did not get to meet the captain who was detained by official duties. David, the activities director, ...
