1-10 of 12 Rome (Civitavecchia) Oceania Marina Cruise Reviews
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have not cruised on Oceania before, but got the brochure and it had places we wanted to go. This was our first post -covid cruise.
We had bought our cruise just before the Simply More promotions- so wine was not included.
Overall, it was a very nice ship-we had a few issues with the trim in our cabin popping off and problems with the sliding ...
This cruise was our first time on Oceania. The ship had about 600 passengers, so a little over half capacity and the COVID restrictions were in force. So I'm not sure if it was a "normal" cruise and that may have contributed to our less than perfect experience.
We arrived in Rome a few days early. I had used Oceania Custom Air because airlines were cancelling and changing flights due to covid ...
This cruise was 3 back to back segments totalling 34 days covering East and West Mediterranean islands and ports some of which we had not previously visited and an Atlantic Crossing with a stop in Cape Verde
Marina and Riviera are comfortable stable ships and we choose them for that reason. On this trip there were challenges. Strong wind forecasts 2 days ahead of arrival in Monte Carlo made ...
We chose this cruise on Oceania (Ancient Footsteps) because of the itinerary and our prior outstanding experience on a past Oceania cruise. The facilities, room, service and cuisine were outstanding. Also, most of Oceania's shore excursions were outstanding. Especially excellent were the shore excursions at Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Ancient Lindos on Rhodes. (In addition, the weather was also ...
This was our third time on Marina and fifth with O. Service and food slipping a bit since they were bought by Norwegian. Food very inconsistent even in each restaurant. Still good but a little less so. Great itineraries make it first choice though. Will give hard look at others or next cruise. Size of ship just right although we prefer their smaller ones like Regatta. Starting to hsell junk ...
We sailed for the first time with Oceania Marina, the reason being we wanted to try a smaller ship.
One of the difference we noticed right away, that we were not pestered to have our Photo taken and no Art Sales. It is a beautiful ship. The drinks are a bit expensive, but there was a Happy Hour each day between 5:00 & 6:00PM. Afternoon Tea at 4:00 PM in the Terrace on deck 15 was very nice ...
Bath was exceptional for a cruiseship stateroom in cabin 9058 (balcony stateroom concierge level). Dining was ok. Favorite specialty restaurant was actually Red Ginger (sea bass was great - and NOT the same cut and preparation you will find elsewhere on the ship. I'd shy away from anything lobster in any of the restaurants... usuallly disappointing. Entertainment... not the line's strong suit. ...
My husband and I are in our early 60's and just returned from our second Oceania Cruise in Europe. This was our sixth cruise having been on Royal Carib and Princess to destinations in the Caribbean.
Oceania is a much more luxurious and low key experience than the others we've been on. There were only 900 guests. The boat holds 1200. Plus 800 employees. So obviously the service was ...
We sailed on the Marina from Rome to Lisbon in early November, staying in a concierge level veranda stateroom. This was our first Oceania cruise, and overall the ship and the cuisine were excellent quality, and fairly good value for money.
This was the last Mediterranean sailing before the repositioning to the Americas, so Oceania filled the ship with two-for-one cruise fares, free airfare, free ...
We had a nice trip and found the Oceania Marina ship not as nice as we anticipated. We tried each of the four restaurants and was extremely unhappy with the Polo Grill when our Lobster was served under-cooked. It was sent back but at that point my husband was already done eating his dinner and my appetite was long gone. This should never happen at any restaurant.
We found the excursions to be ...
