This was our 4th Norweigan ship and cruise. Out of 20 cruises sailed this was the worst ship we have ever been on. The venues for the shows were small, the layout of the ship was noisy, and the food was cold or overdone, more often than not. The entertainment was repeated and not that great of quality. A large casino , but prices of buyins were high so tables sat empty a lot. Speciality ...
This ship is very old and outdated. Poor condition, rust on bathroom wall and the balcony area. The interior was old and worn out and not very appealing as it was dark and dreary. While inside the ship during the day you felt like it was nightime. the food was just average with limited places to eat lunch or breakfast. The entertainment was just so-so and limited for a long 16 day cruise. The ...
We chose this cruise because it was a great price and we loved the ports prior to the transatlantic crossing. Here are some bullet points of our disappointment:
When I entered my stateroom there was duct tape on the vent in the shower room and the toilet room.
There was lots of rust all around the ship, including our balcony.
There were ceiling tiles falling down in one of ...
My wife, a friend, and I just completed the 12 day Mediterranean Cruise on the Norwegian Epic which left out of Rome on November 8.
My wife and I have been on NCL a couple of times in the past and had a great experience - wish I could say the same for this trip.
The Epic can hold over 4500 passengers; but, there are only 2900 on board (just over 1/2 capacity).
Below is a list of issues ...
The food in the dining room at times was inedible. The chef of 32-years with Celebrity did a presentation of the secrets of pastry making was charismatic but disclosed that he has overseen movement to buy some goods rather than utilize kitchen staff to make common dishes. Unfortunately this decision has destroyed the reputation for the quality of food on the Celebrity Cruise Line which is one of ...
This is our 5th T/A crossing and it was one we could without. Some people like this ship but to us it was old and dark, I mean that literally. Half the lights in main dining were out and never came on for the whole cruise. Also if you were seated on the second level your food was cold most of the time. Forget about getting someone to clean the mold in the shower and the cabin attendant forgot to ...
I can only say if I could I would vote a minus. The food is appalling if you want to lose weight then book with msc even top staff asked us to write a bad review about the food the staff can’t wait to Get ashore for something to eat. No kettle in the room. Dress sense is out of the window. I met a man who had done 31 cruises and this was worst. The only saving grace was the amazing staff they are ...
Booked this cruise just a few days before the sailing as a spontaneous way of returning to the states rather than flying. We’d sailed with MSC many times but not since 2016. I don’t know where you could find such horrible poor quality food. I spotted the executive chef onboard and asked why he allows such embarrassingly bad food and his response was a little shocking. He said,”when we get to ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have not cruised on Oceania before, but got the brochure and it had places we wanted to go. This was our first post -covid cruise.
We had bought our cruise just before the Simply More promotions- so wine was not included.
Overall, it was a very nice ship-we had a few issues with the trim in our cabin popping off and problems with the sliding ...
We previously cruised with Holland America, Princess, and Carnaval. We chose this cruise for the interesting ports and for the food experience. We did Oceania tours at every port and were happy with all. They were well organized and very informative. Embarkation was easy, as long as one did the online preparation. We were on board by 11:30 am on embarkation day and had lunch on the Terrace ...
