Disappointed

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Encore

I have sailed with Seabourn many times and loved it, so I was looking forward to the newest-largest-most luxurious ship in the fleet. Unfortunately, the ship did not meet Seabourn's standard for service. A number of the crew were "old hands" who we knew from previous cruises, and they were outstanding. A larger number seemed not to know their jobs; it was as if they were in training, but ...

Regent do not meet the expectations.

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

Previous cruises with Seabourn and Regent Mariner. Very disappointed, inconsistent quality of service in the Compass Rose, dismissive concierge staff and a Captain who is rarely visible and walks past passengers ignoring them. Many complaints from passengers about poor service and poor quality of food in the restraunts. The Cruise started badly, on boarding presented with a card thanking me ...

Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

We had sailed on the Regent Marina last year, flying to Rio de Janeiro. We decided to book this trip for the value (sale price) and also to travel with some friends who had not experienced some of the ports. There are lots of positives so I will start with those: We had a free upgrade to a Penthouse Suite which was very luxurious and had butler service. The service in the room and bars was ...

Azamara but Not 6-star

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Journey

We chose this cruise because we were asked to cancel a previous cruise with Oceania which was over-booked! We had a problem finding a cruise at such a late date. We thought that Azamara would be a good bet as it is supposed to be a 6-star cruise ship, having previously been on Oceania and Seabourn we had great hopes but unfortunately were were disappointed. The stateroom and especially the ...

Cruise not for everyone

Review for a Greece Cruise on Oosterdam

We chose this cruise because we love to cruise to Greece and this cruise offered ports we have not visited. We have been on 40 cruises and do three a year. This ship was very boring because there was little entertainment. One night they showed "Jungle Book Movie" for the 8pm & 10pm shows come on. Lucky for us the movies in the staterooms where free. I have never spent so much time in my cabin. ...

Great cabin, but stay away from the back of the ship at all cost!

We had cabin 8100, a JS facing the back of the ship. The cabin and balcony size were outstanding BUT this is an older ship and it simply cannot handle speeds in excess of 15 knots even with calm seas without without causing severe shakes and rattles and where in the back of the ship, but worse in the cabins itself. The first night out at sea at over 20 knots with a calm ocean you simply ...

Probably Never Again

The first impression upon walking through the corridors was the smell of perspiration; then the second is the smell of perspiration in our room. Then the strong smell of perspiration on our pillows. We asked for new ones, and were given four "new" ones that still smelled awful. I asked our steward to please get us new ones, from a new sealed package. This seemed to do the trick, but then they ...

A VW Golf with a Rolls Royce Badge

Review for a Greece Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

I chose the Queen Elizabeth because the cruise included ports that we had not been to. The embarkation procedure went smoothly and we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to the Brittania Club. The stateroom was clean and tidy but the shower in the bathroom was a disappointment. Having travelled on both Celebrity and Oceania the immediate reaction was that it lacked that ...

Overall A Great Cruise

This was our first RCI cruise (9 previous cruises on Princess, Celebrity and Cunard) and were were mostly pleased with the experience. The staff were great and friendly and the ship (Serenade of the Seas) was absolutely lovely and every easy to navigate. We loved the ship, enjoyed our itinerary (Greek Isles), thought the public areas were beautiful and we had a great cruise. A few pluses: Food ...

Cunard needs to make changes

The biggest issue was the captains decision to skip Mykonos , though windy , my question is why did Cunards not book a berth on the dock , being a major part of the itinery , many of us booked this particular cruise for Mykonos & Santorini , the handling of the situation pursers desk was deplorable The entertainment is set for elderly cruisers & Brits, the shows singers was so out of sink with ...
