Recommended by our travel agent and we were delighted. Service was outstanding throughout and our food excellent. The 3 restaurant choices gave us all the options we were looking for over the 17 night cruise.
The itinerary gave us the best of popular ports and smaller ones that we visited for the first time. The marina was a little disappointing as distance we could swim was limited and no ...
Choose this cruise to experience Greece and its food, drink and culture. The good is that Princess did an awesome job on embarkment (no wait) and disembarkment. Excursion organization and cleanliness, and great staff. It couldn’t have been any better.
I rated 4 stars because I wouldn’t take this cruise again. It was boring. Entertainment was for older people ( we were a party of 8 in our late ...
We recently returned from an eleven day cruise from Rome to Venice on the Oceania's Sirena. We picked this cruise because of the itinerary. The Oceania did an excellent job of getting to every port as scheduled so we had ample time at each port to explore. My only complaint is that we tendered twice, and the tender boats were very uncomfortable with no fans and very hot.
We have been on ...
Don't bother reading any review on the Star Clipper line that wants to be critical. If people were not satisfied with the unbelievable quality of the food (fine dining each meal) the service and the overall sailing experience well I struggle to understand what they expect. The staff and the people from all around the world added to the enjoyment of the experience. If you want to spend time on a ...
We had a Silver Suite - spacious, clean and reasonably comfortable. Our butler (Ronaldo) was superb. And the Voices of Silversea (singers) were exceptional.
BUT this is not 6* luxury cruising, and they have clearly taken a corporate decision to cut costs wherever they can. For example:
(i) the house champagne was Ok (Heidseck Monopole Blue top) but the house wines were cheap and ...
I was on the booze cruise that seem to be some elses’s party. I have had in the past wonderful relaxing trips on Silverseas. After a couple of tough years I was looking forward returning to Silverseas and a relaxing seven days and being spoilt.
As soon as I boarded Whisper I went as usual for a relaxing drink by the pool to get over my journey and while waiting for my luggage to arrive in my ...
Room as not huge but very serviceable. The balcony held two and made ample use of it for sleeping and reading. The fridge was stocked with water, beers and sodas. If I had wanted wine, they would have supplied. The closet was ample for two people, with drawers and hangers. The bathroom contained both a tub and shower and we could choose among several options which soaps and shampoos they would ...
This was supposed to be an “Ultra Luxury cruise with a sophiticated ambience with like minded travellers”. Instead Silversea sold two group bookings so that out of a maximum capacity when full of 380 passengers over 270 were group bookings. The larger group was over 220. If this wasn’t bad enough, the group were low earning commission agents who were a part of a multi-level network marketing ...
Holland America’s greatest flaw is not providing enough accurate information. This is not a new problem. We have observed this on all our HAL cruises. Celebrity does a much better job. There are so many ways that the information services could be improved.
For example:
•Put the port talks on the TV like you used to. We can’t always attend in person.
•If you list port information on the ...
The itinerary of the three legs was the reason for booking this cruise. We also looked at Regent but Silverseas itinerary was more to our liking. As much as we liked being so catered to, it was hard to socialize with fellow passengers or even to run into them again. I thought the casino left a lot to be desired and didn't have much of a pulse. I personally would like to see maybe more of an ...
