Whilst not everything on the ship is working, deck 19, the rest of the ship is fantastic. We had a mini suite. Thd cabin is well appointed, slightly disappointing that there was no coffee machine in the cabin but as we could get fresh coffee and drinks on the lido, literally just a 1 min walk from the cabin or use ocean now delivery, so not the end of the world. The restaurants are fantastic with ...
This was the third sailing of the vessel, so a bunch of stuff was not yet operational which is why she gets 4 out of 5. The itinerary was great, the staff was some of the best drawn from across the Princess fleet and it showed. The ship was brand new and gorgeous, and the glass door showers, sofas in balcony rooms, and revolutionary smart elevators were welcomed innovations that made the trip more ...
The room looked nice but opened the curtains to the balcony and turned around to see hair from previous guests everywhere and something had been spilled all down the front of the table and fridge. Nothing seemed to be sanitized ( same dirty rag to wipe down tables without a spray of disinfectant on all outside deck areas and the Eatery tables). In the Eatery breakfast and lunch served the same ...
First time on a Viking cruise. We've been on others, but this experience was definitely notches above the others. Food was great, and their attention to customer service was exceptional. Our cabin was great. We felt like we were in a high end hotel. The staff was very attentive and made sure we we were well taken care of. They also do a great job coordinating the excursions. There are various ...
Nice ship, new, intelligent design, great staff from top to bottom, great food, well organized. Uneven educational opportunity, some excellent, some less so. Excellent overall cruising experience. That said, cruising is a lifestyle and subculture which is either in your blood or not. In our case, not. This is a matter of personal preference - we will probably not pursue cruising further - but his ...
First, it is a beautiful ship, but (a) the first 2 cruises were cancelled because the ship wasn't ready and (b) not all of the venues were open when we boarded what turned out to be the 3rd cruise. This was obviously disappointing.
Next, let me tell you my notes before we boarded the ship. We could not book any specialty restaurants until 30 days before we sailed. The Princess app is slow. ...
It was nice being on a brand new ship but we were really disappointed on what wasn’t open especially most of Park 19 and the arena. The dome was very busy when it was opened so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it. The pools were nice especially the pool area in the forward of the ship that had two hot tubs. To summarize I’d say this: Great port stops, awesome staff, great teen club that my kids ...
Looked forward to sailing on what was promoted as a fantastic ship. However. venues too closed in a nowhere for a quiet drink before dinner as everything took place in the piazza. On Plus package and ket getting charges fro drinks I never had. No shows, No Park 19, No Dome events. this list could go on. Even paid a supplement for speciality and was charged service charge on top of that.
Do not ...
We picked this cruise originally as it was to be the 3rd cruise on Sun Princess as it turned out it was the inaugural cruise which was more expensive at the time of booking but we felt by the 3rd cruise all would be working what a mistake!!!
Princess should have let us know before we travelled that the theatre and park 19 would be unavailable to us instead just giving 60$ each when we on board ...
Imagine this scenario: Princess Cruiseline sends out an email to booked passengers for the 2/28 Inaugural (by default after 2/8 and 2/18 were canceled) cruise. The email discloses that, despite their best efforts, the ship just isn't quite ready yet. Never the less, they have decided to sail as planned vs canceling outright. This fantasy email gave passengers the option of rescheduling to a ...
