First, it is a beautiful ship, but (a) the first 2 cruises were cancelled because the ship wasn't ready and (b) not all of the venues were open when we boarded what turned out to be the 3rd cruise. This was obviously disappointing.
Next, let me tell you my notes before we boarded the ship. We could not book any specialty restaurants until 30 days before we sailed. The Princess app is slow. ...
It was nice being on a brand new ship but we were really disappointed on what wasn’t open especially most of Park 19 and the arena. The dome was very busy when it was opened so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it. The pools were nice especially the pool area in the forward of the ship that had two hot tubs. To summarize I’d say this: Great port stops, awesome staff, great teen club that my kids ...
Looked forward to sailing on what was promoted as a fantastic ship. However. venues too closed in a nowhere for a quiet drink before dinner as everything took place in the piazza. On Plus package and ket getting charges fro drinks I never had. No shows, No Park 19, No Dome events. this list could go on. Even paid a supplement for speciality and was charged service charge on top of that.
Do not ...
Staff is great and they out of their way to please customers.
Food is below average and repeats every day.
Ship layout is amazing and provides feeling of a smaller ship. Nothing is ever crowded.
Reserve balconies are good for one person. However the room a spacious.
Spa wasn't fully ready.
Onboarding was smooth even for a large ship.
Cost management is very obvious. Big shows ...
Booked on 3rd cruise, ended up on 1st cruise. Feb 14 cancelled with four day’s notice. No communication from Princess. Would have cancelled if we could but they had our money. Ended up on a ship that was not ready to sail. Obvious cash grab by Princess. It was a bait and switch. All large performance venues closed. Many on deck amenities closed or broken. They did work tirelessly to fix stuff and ...
Free balcony casino player offer. Cabin lovely - glass shower enclosure, sofa, comfy twin beds, adequate closet and drawers. Still winter in Europe so balcony not used. Shows with guest performers in atrium seen on three levels. A few standouts but no theater experiences in arena. Area 19 closed. Buffet extra crowded and noisy at B&L. 7:30 deck 6/7 dining rooms had long lines waiting to be seated ...
This trip was a last minute plan in September, 2023. The draw was a discount fare with free airfare to the Holy Land. My siblings and I decided to sign up The Holy Land visit was cancelled due to the conflict, October, 2023. We agreed to continue with the trip. I received a single rate Was my first Viking Ocean cruise, but a veteran of other cruise lines as well as a Viking River Cruise. I was ...
We chose Viking’s 15 day Mediterranean Antiquities cruise because we had been on the Viking 18 day cruise, South America and the Chilean Fjords, and loved everything about it. In particular we enjoyed the lectures and other enrichment activities as well as the fellow travelers who seemed to have similar interests. The library was phenomenal.
Since all Viking Ocean ships are almost identical, we ...
I chose this cruise for good value and newer and bigger ship. The ship is truly beautiful.
1. Dining room food was good, service was excellent, ambience was wonderful.
2. Buffet was chaotic. Food was displayed in 2 narrow aisles on each side of the ship. It was hard to find a seat.
3. Food was average, it lacked variety. Roasts of beef, lamb, chicken and pork were good. Soups were always ...
The ship is nice.
I had a solo cabin which was very good/comfortable for 1 person.
The service on the ship was good, The ship is very clean.
The unlimited internet package was fast.
I could not eat the food in the main restaurants. The quality was not acceptable.
Breakfast however was ok. But its ridiculous that you have to pay for a cappuccino for Breakfast.
The drinks ...
