We have just spent 11 nights on the Queen Elizabeth in cabin 8174.Firstly we wish to point out this we considered this cruise superb value for money and the comments below are just points where we think there could be improvements.
Our cabin was below the lido outdoor deck area.Although there was little activity in this area we experienced heavy footsteps early most mornings. It appeared to be one ...
INTRODUCTION - Having had an awful cruise earlier this year with another cruise line it was lovely to be back with Cunard on board this regal ship.
EMBARKATION - We had to fly to Rome to board the ship, which was fine, but we went with Air France and flew to Paris and a 4 hour wait until our connecting flight. We got up at 3.00am and did not board the ship until 6.30pm so we were very tired. The ...
We have taken several cruises on Oceania, Celebrity, and on Cunard's Queen Victoria. This was our favorite in many ways. Though it's hard to top Oceania for food, we had excellent meals at all times on the Queen Elizabeth. Service was also outstanding, in the restaurants, from our cabin steward, and at the main desk. We never passed anyone who didn't greet us in eleven days.
The itinerary could ...
This was our first cruise on Cunard Queen Elizabeth.cruise number Q420B We normally cruise with P & O and have always enjoyed our times on their ships . We booked on the Queen Elizabeth on this 25 day cruise in August . We were under the impression that this was one complete cruise. We flew to Rome on easyjet which had a luggage limit of 20 kllo's. Not really enough for 25 days cruising So we paid ...
Sailing on board the Queen Elizabeth was absolutely amazing. We embarked at Rome- Civitavecchia. We took a private car to the port for 140 euros. Checked in around 4pm. Disembarked in Venice, nice terminal. Took a public taxi straight to our hotel in Venice which was close to the airport, 45 euros. Everything was in perfect order from check in to check out. We have not one complaint. When can you ...
We are both in our 30's and this was my wife's first cruise.
I had previously been on the QE2 and my wife had always wanted to experience 5 star indulgence.
It took less than 10 minutes sat in a travel agents to be sold the cruise and pay the deposit.
Our experience begun with Cunard whilst in Rome, having had luggage delayed. Our travel agent had advised us to speak to Cunard as they the ...
Thought I would let you all know how much we enjoyed our first Cunard cruise on Queen Elizabeth. We were on a 2 week port intensive cruise from September 26 to October 10.
We met great people had wonderful food in Brittania Dining room. The staff was great! We felt taken care of without being pestered all the time. Our balcony room 5060 was very nice and had plenty of electric outlets for curling ...
This was our second time on Cunard and the QE. WE was an amazing last minute deal going from Rome to Venice back in August 2014, I travelled with my five year old in an inside cabin. It has to be the most luxurious inside cabin of any cruise line complete with bathrobes and half a bottle of champagne on arrival. These touches are what a proper cruise holiday are all about in my opinion.
This was ...
To put this review into some kind of perspective, we are aged 38 and 40 and from North Yorkshire. I am a doctor and my partner is a local government officer. We enjoy fine dining (having eaten in several Michelin starred restaurants) and staying in better than average hotels. Having travelled on Cunard's Queen Victoria in 2008 (and loved the experience) we thought we would try Queen Elizabeth this ...
We usually cruise with Princess or Royal Caribbean which are both 4 star, so having booked with Cunard on the 5 star Queen Elizabeth we expected a fabulous holiday. We were pleased with our cabin and the luxury and decor of this beautiful ship, however everything else was pretty poor. The pool area smelled of sewerage and was overcrowded, the lido restaurant served up the same bland repetitive ...
