Ports very good, ship not so good

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This was our 4th Norweigan ship and cruise. Out of 20 cruises sailed this was the worst ship we have ever been on. The venues for the shows were small, the layout of the ship was noisy, and the food was cold or overdone, more often than not. The entertainment was repeated and not that great of quality. A large casino , but prices of buyins were high so tables sat empty a lot. Speciality ...

DON'T DO IT

This ship is very old and outdated. Poor condition, rust on bathroom wall and the balcony area. The interior was old and worn out and not very appealing as it was dark and dreary. While inside the ship during the day you felt like it was nightime. the food was just average with limited places to eat lunch or breakfast. The entertainment was just so-so and limited for a long 16 day cruise. The ...

Great Deal but not worth it!

We chose this cruise because it was a great price and we loved the ports prior to the transatlantic crossing. Here are some bullet points of our disappointment: When I entered my stateroom there was duct tape on the vent in the shower room and the toilet room. There was lots of rust all around the ship, including our balcony. There were ceiling tiles falling down in one of ...

We chose this cruise for its itinerary. The ship was stopping in Egypt, Israel and ending in Istanbul Turkey. We were interested in seeing the Pyramids in Cairo and touring Jerusalem then spending some time in Istanbul at the end of it. Due to some very unfortunate circumstances we were unable to stop in Israel so we had an extra sea day. We covered 3 continents, Africa, Asia & Europe in this ...

Our most challenging cruise and trip to date!

Our Most Challenging Cruise and Trip to Date: 22 days from Rome to Israel In November 2019, we had been on a wonderful B2B cruise in the western and eastern Mediterranean on the MSC Grandiosa and the NCL Spirit. We were excited to return to Israel to see more sites and experience history and culture, so we booked the NCL Epic from Nov 3-15, 2022. This 2022 cruise was far more challenging than ...

Most efficient cruise ever!

Review for a Greece Cruise on Emerald Princess

Choose this cruise to experience Greece and its food, drink and culture. The good is that Princess did an awesome job on embarkment (no wait) and disembarkment. Excursion organization and cleanliness, and great staff. It couldn’t have been any better. I rated 4 stars because I wouldn’t take this cruise again. It was boring. Entertainment was for older people ( we were a party of 8 in our late ...

I was on the booze cruise that seem to be some elses’s party. I have had in the past wonderful relaxing trips on Silverseas. After a couple of tough years I was looking forward returning to Silverseas and a relaxing seven days and being spoilt. As soon as I boarded Whisper I went as usual for a relaxing drink by the pool to get over my journey and while waiting for my luggage to arrive in my ...

Experienced spoiled by the mediocre food and slow dinner service

We had a Silver Suite - spacious, clean and reasonably comfortable. Our butler (Ronaldo) was superb. And the Voices of Silversea (singers) were exceptional. BUT this is not 6* luxury cruising, and they have clearly taken a corporate decision to cut costs wherever they can. For example: (i) the house champagne was Ok (Heidseck Monopole Blue top) but the house wines were cheap and ...

Room as not huge but very serviceable. The balcony held two and made ample use of it for sleeping and reading. The fridge was stocked with water, beers and sodas. If I had wanted wine, they would have supplied. The closet was ample for two people, with drawers and hangers. The bathroom contained both a tub and shower and we could choose among several options which soaps and shampoos they would ...

We had unwittingly booked ourselves on a BoozeCrooze ....

This was supposed to be an “Ultra Luxury cruise with a sophiticated ambience with like minded travellers”. Instead Silversea sold two group bookings so that out of a maximum capacity when full of 380 passengers over 270 were group bookings. The larger group was over 220. If this wasn’t bad enough, the group were low earning commission agents who were a part of a multi-level network marketing ...
