We are Just back from a fabulous back to back cruise on CelebritySilhouette to the Mediterranean and Israel and then a transatlantic. It was a Fantastic experience--delicious food in the dining room, breakfast and lunch buffets, and in specialty restaurants (Qsine, the Lawn Grill, and theTuscan Grill) Best celebrity life activities staff (Patrick, Crystal, Constantine, and Giuseppe) we ever had ...

Great Service, Large Cabin

The service especially in the main dining room was excellent. The food was good and we enjoyed almost every meal. We were in cabin 6243, it was large and the balcony was larger than most. It was a noisy room, during the day, workers were moving something large and noisy directly below our room. Thankfully they did not work at night. This cruise missed the first port because of bad weather, ...

Loved my first TA on the Silhouette

I chose this cruise because of the ports and the opportunity to try a TA. I really was pleased with all of it. The days at sea were quite filled with enough activities to keep me occupied. Celebrity did a fantastic job of providing enough entertainment and lecturers (6) to provide a variety of interesting opportunities for enrichment. One of the lecturers worked in the White House for 8 years ...

Wonderful Transatlantic Crossing

We just got home after a wonderful 15-day crossing on the beautiful Celebrity Silhouette. It was our first cruise with Celebrity -- we are normally Holland America cruisers. We selected this cruise because of the time and the ports. Except for Barcelona (and Rome from which we embarked), all the ports were new to us. We took three shore excursions with Celebrity. All were exactly as ...

Average Trans-Atlantic

Trans-Atlantic cruise was average. We booked an Aqua class cabin. We have cruised a number of times and did not find Celebrity to be any better than the average cruise line. In fact, some aspects were worse. A few examples are 1) wash cloths were basically rags. Some had holes and others shredded. Not very "luxurious". 2) In the past, water was free as you needed it. Now they only give you ...

This was our 2nd Transatlantic. Our trip started out with a quick trip to Rome before heading to the port to board our ship. Our embarkation was great, we had a suite which had it's own line. Once checked in we were met by the Manager of Guest Relations, he escorted us to Michael's Club where we met our concierge Niko. We sat in Michael's Club before we headed to Luminae for lunch. By the ...

Great but crowded ship

We have cruised with Celebrity many times and this was our first time with Celebrity Silhouette, a beautiful ship, modern, clean and high tech. Before cruising the Atlantic the ship had some ports of call in Europe, in the Mediterranean Sea, great places to visit; among others Barcelona, Tenerife, and Mallorca. Our De Luxe Veranda Cabin was great, big, clean and well located right in the ...

Our introduction to transatlantic cruising!

We love Rome and the idea of starting in Italy and ending in Florida was irresistible. We had no idea how addicting transatlantic travel is. You get home and your body is adjusted to the time change and you've had seven straight days to relax, be entertained, and have fun. All the ports were terrific. We took the cruise line's tours of Tuscany and Aix en Provence both of which were terrific. Our ...

Celebrity needs to take a good look at their AnyTime dining. We made reservations months in advance and we were put in the same line as Walk Ins. We were given a beeper and told to wait until we were paged. I don't mind waiting, BUT not when I went to all the trouble of making reservations before we left home. It seems that the Scheduled dining in the Main dining room on the other floor is ...

Relaxing crossing with all the trimmings

We enjoy Italy, we enjoy Celebrity, we enjoy time at sea. And so a TA from Rome on Silhouette was an obvious selection. We started with 4 days in Florence, then a day driving a rental car through the Tuscan hills down to the port. Transportation the next morning from our hotel to the ship was chaotic - too many big ships in port and the cabs were hard pressed to keep up. But we were able to share ...
