The guest performers were all British and did not rise to the level of American performers. The production shows were good but not exceptional. The food was good but nothing exceptional. The Lawn Grill restaurant did in fact provide for an outstanding experiece. All the employees were friendly and smiled at the guests which is what one would expect. Embarkation and disembarkation went very ...

The ship was beautiful, all the crew were as nice as they could be. Everyone was very pleasant and tried to attend to our every need. Also, the ship was meticulously clean. They were constantly cleaning and the hand sanitizers were everywhere. The entertainment was great. We chose to upgrade to aqua blue class because one of our party had chosen that before and loved the special blu ...

We chose this cruise because I wanted to visit Israel and because we like the Solstice ships. We had a normal standard balcony room, perfectly fine, great view towards the rear of the ship and we were lucky to be on the side of the port most days when we docked so that was interesting. Our room attendant Gede was just the best, nothing was too much trouble, he was quiet, discrete and the room ...

Loved Our Experience On Board the Silhouette!

My wife and I recently finished a 12 day cruise to the western Mediterranean. We loved our experience on board! The staff was wonderful, from the day we arrived at the cruise terminal to board the Silhouette right through to the day we disembarked. All the staff on board were courteous and helpful. Our cabin steward was the best, and our assistant waiter, who we met 18 months ago on the ...

Context: fourth Celebrity cruise; third in the Med. Self and wife travelling. Pros: Best service in buffet we've had. Very efficient and friendly. Food up to standard. Good service in MDR, but some meal sizes have got very small - like the lamb main course which had three pieces of leg of land each around 3" x 1". Excellent experiences with Lawn Club Grill, Murano and Tuscan; all with ...

Better than Average but Lacked a Little Something

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

Hesitantly I agreed to go on an eastern bound Transatlantic crossing last year. What would I do with six days in a row at sea? I determined that as a constantly moving person I would be horribly bored. Wrong! I stayed constantly busy often trying to decide between one event or another. New friends were made and met daily for a cocktail, dinner, the show, morning ship walking, the casino, etc. ...

The service especially in the main dining room was excellent. The food was good and we enjoyed almost every meal. We were in cabin 6243, it was large and the balcony was larger than most. It was a noisy room, during the day, workers were moving something large and noisy directly below our room. Thankfully they did not work at night. This cruise missed the first port because of bad weather, ...

Loved my first TA on the Silhouette

I chose this cruise because of the ports and the opportunity to try a TA. I really was pleased with all of it. The days at sea were quite filled with enough activities to keep me occupied. Celebrity did a fantastic job of providing enough entertainment and lecturers (6) to provide a variety of interesting opportunities for enrichment. One of the lecturers worked in the White House for 8 years ...

Our introduction to transatlantic cruising!

We love Rome and the idea of starting in Italy and ending in Florida was irresistible. We had no idea how addicting transatlantic travel is. You get home and your body is adjusted to the time change and you've had seven straight days to relax, be entertained, and have fun. All the ports were terrific. We took the cruise line's tours of Tuscany and Aix en Provence both of which were terrific. Our ...
