Booked this cruise as we got a great deal on a Celebrity Suite and was looking forward to the WOW factor. It was the 12 night sailing from Rome to the Greek Islands and Israel in late October. The check in was very smooth and being in a higher level suite we were met at portside and escorted to the Michaels club to have a drink. This started of the cruise very well. Got to our room Suite 1110 ...

Absymal provision for disabled going ashore

We have sailed four times on the Celebrity Eclipse from Southampton, and have always enjoyed the experience. However, we decided that we would try a fly-cruise for the first time. This is a quantum leap for us, since I have MS and am reliant on an electric scooter to get around; I can walk only a few yards with assistance, and can't navigate stairs. So we booked a cruise on the Celebrity ...

Disappointing

Service was great. Food in main dinning room was extreamly disappointing. The quality and selection was so much less than we had experienced b/4 on Celebrity cruises. This view was shared by all members of our table. Buffet was plentiful and good. Also, our favorite after dinner spot had been Michael's, where we enjoyed a drink as a piano player played favorite tunes. This was ...

Service was their best feature. Food not so much. I was disappointed.

We choose this cruise because it was Spain intensive. Embarkation was very smooth. The ship was nothing spectacular. The decor was underwhelming. The artwork was odd. The pictures in the hallways looked amateurish and uninteresting. The Martini bar was nice and inovative. The solarium was a nice place to relax. Our balcony cabin was nice. Lots of storage. Far side of the closet was hard to ...

We had an amazing experience with our first Celebrity Cruise on the Equinox, last July in Europe and expecting the same or more, booked the Silhouette Western Mediterranean cruise. From the get go, I had bad feeling, when after embarking, we went to Ocean view for a bite, and had to wait for 1/2 hour for the waitress that took our cards to get soft drinks. we finished our food, waited, waited ...

Great Ship and Service, but Food / Drink Questionable

We chose this cruise because of the destination ports (Italy, Israel and Greece). All of our previous cruising experience was on Holland America. Overall, the ship is in great condition and service was as expected, what I didn't like: * Food in dining was sub-par, especially for what we paid. Quality was not good, portions were small - I was surprised they did not have menu and wine options ...

This was my 7th Celebrity X cruise and it certainly comes in 7th in terms of satisfaction. It is our first time on Celebrity Silhouette. The ship itself is in reasonable condition with the obvious signs of wear and tear, however having threadbare sofa's and upholstery absent from staterooms leave a very poor sight. Old carpets need to be installed asap. The itinerary was Israel and the Med ...

Average Trans-Atlantic

Trans-Atlantic cruise was average. We booked an Aqua class cabin. We have cruised a number of times and did not find Celebrity to be any better than the average cruise line. In fact, some aspects were worse. A few examples are 1) wash cloths were basically rags. Some had holes and others shredded. Not very "luxurious". 2) In the past, water was free as you needed it. Now they only give you ...

Great but crowded ship

We have cruised with Celebrity many times and this was our first time with Celebrity Silhouette, a beautiful ship, modern, clean and high tech. Before cruising the Atlantic the ship had some ports of call in Europe, in the Mediterranean Sea, great places to visit; among others Barcelona, Tenerife, and Mallorca. Our De Luxe Veranda Cabin was great, big, clean and well located right in the ...

Celebrity needs to take a good look at their AnyTime dining. We made reservations months in advance and we were put in the same line as Walk Ins. We were given a beeper and told to wait until we were paged. I don't mind waiting, BUT not when I went to all the trouble of making reservations before we left home. It seems that the Scheduled dining in the Main dining room on the other floor is ...
