Contrary to reputation of the food quality

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

The food in the dining room at times was inedible. The chef of 32-years with Celebrity did a presentation of the secrets of pastry making was charismatic but disclosed that he has overseen movement to buy some goods rather than utilize kitchen staff to make common dishes. Unfortunately this decision has destroyed the reputation for the quality of food on the Celebrity Cruise Line which is one of ...

Tired old ship,needs upgrades.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

This is our 5th T/A crossing and it was one we could without. Some people like this ship but to us it was old and dark, I mean that literally. Half the lights in main dining were out and never came on for the whole cruise. Also if you were seated on the second level your food was cold most of the time. Forget about getting someone to clean the mold in the shower and the cabin attendant forgot to ...

Great time, great crew

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

A fun trip around Italy, missed a stop because of a storm but oh well, money for tour was refunded immediately. Enjoyed the stops especially, Montenegro. The walk-through tour of old town and the farm was fun. We got a lot of ideas for our daughter that bought a small farm recently. Ship is a nice size for this trip, easy to get off and on even on the tender stop. cabin a assessable sky ...

Great Crew, Better than average entertainment and a well maintained ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

I picked this cruise for the ports of call - I have no loyalty to any one cruise line. Ports, Price, and then Ship are how I decided on any cruise. After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned about the wear and tear of the facilities and thought the food would be awful. While the ship is old and the room is beyond old, the room was clean, the common areas were also clean, and many public ...

Wanted to try a different ship. Usually go with a group of family and friends of 20 Money grab. Drinks package $59 plus 20% a day. We said No but waiters fairly insistent. One wIter argued that it was 20% OFF .. no such thing. Music Trivia very boring .. no fun at all. On P & O we laughed till our faces ached. Constellation staff shuffled us off as soon as possible because every afternoon ...

Trying Celeb solo for the second time, last chance for the X

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

I had a pretty poor X experience a few years ago on the Eclipse, the captain having to write to each cabin to apologise type of experience. I wanted though to travel the Suez Canal though and so it seemed a good time to give the X another try. it started badly though when their greeters in Rome said I wasn't on their list and went on from there. The room had used toothpicks and peoples pills in ...

Good ship staff but the tour vendors should be changed.

For the Suez Canal passage and other tour stops. The price was a great value as well. The tours really varied, it was either a great experience with the tour guide or not. The guides for the Celebrity arranged tours in Athens and Petra were great. In Abu Dhabi, the guide was so scattered going through the mosque, the group basically took matters into our own hands to make the most of the ...

Nice cruise & holiday - with caveats

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We chose this cruise as part of a family group and for it being a Mediterranean cruise. It was our first time on Celebrity, but we have travelled on many other cruise lines, primarily on Princess. Being near the end of season, we got a great deal that included gratuities and the classic drink package as well as our shipboard credits. Part of the reason for writing this review is Celebrity's ...

Great Experience on Celebrity

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

User Avatar

We are experienced cruisers and have cruised on many various cruise lines over the years. That said, we want to congratulate Celebrity on a great experience on Infinity recently. We planned a trip to visit Europe and decided to take the Celebrity Infinity back to Miami. The ship is scheduled for refurbishment next year and does show signs of age and the Wi-Fi system is terrible however, ...

Great (Our first) Transatlantic

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

We were looking for a longer cruise, and the possibility of a Trans-Atlantic and Europe (a first for me, not my Honey). We tend to look at Celebrity first for the balance and class - I can get a waterslide anywhere. We spent 3 days in Rome prior to departure, and actually enjoyed walking 20 miles (really!) to tour the city. We were very lucky and happy with our Airbnb rental and the location. ...
