Review for Celebrity Solstice to Transatlantic

From the best Captain sailing the high seas on down, the staff on board were truly great. Always attentive. The ship was spotlessly clean. Very well designed spaces. Great cabins with wonderful beds. The ship is very large. You feel it when you walk down the long long hallways to your cabin but elsewhere it feels much more cozy and warm. Simple clean lines and decor. Top notch finishes and ...

We booked this cruise far in advance...almost 18 months ahead, I spent a great deal of time obsessively researching the ports, what to see, do, etc. DH spent a great deal of time worrying about the $ a time off of work (we own our own business) We flew into Rome 3 days before cruise, left LAX on Thanksgiving flew ANZ premium Economy, upper deck into LHR thanks for heads up from Cruise Critic ...

We flew to Rome on Monday and spent three nights there. Then we were escorted to the Port of Rome for our ten day trip. The ship is so beautiful. It was the 11th cruise my husband and I have taken and this was the most beautiful ship of all. Our cabin had a balcony, which we have gotten use to inn the last 5 cruises. The staff was excellent. We had wonderful bathrobes waiting in our closet. The ...

The Solstice is a big, beauty kept spotlessly clean by a staff who must be hung and quartered if they don't smile and greet every guest at every possible moment. The cabin was bright, airy, very functional, comfortable and quiet. Couldn't ask for more. Balcony was terrif. Can't imagine cruising without one. Public spaces were beautiful, clean and inviting with no crowding, no hassles, no ...

Good Ship - Good Cruise

This was actually two cruises, back-to-back. First, 10 days in the Greek Isles, Italy and Turkey, then 13 days Civitavecchia to Ft. Lauderdale. So,lots of sightseeing on first leg, lots of sea days on the last. The ship itself is beautiful and well laid out. The Lawn Club and glass blowing seem at first to be wasteful, but they were actually well used and make a unique addition. The cabin seemed a ...

We travel often and rely on Cruise Critic for advice and suggestions so I want to provide as much information I can to assist others. We arrived in Rome a couple of days early and stayed at the Atlante Star Hotel. It was a nice hotel with free shuttle from the airport. Neither of us ever sleep on the plane so it was nice to be picked up by the hotel. The only problem was we had to wait about an ...

Embarkation was simple. Actually we took back to back cruises and was pleasantly surprised. The Solstice is a sleek, well-maintained ship with a crew that works hard to please. Overall the service was good and the staff accommodating and friendly. We spent a total of 23 days cruising the Med and each port was interesting. Shore excursions were arranged well but in Barcelona the tour guide was ...

Our First Cruise....... Celebrity Solstice

Celebrity, in my opinion, set the bar quite high. This was our first cruise and it was the most wonderful experience. We boarded the Celebrity Solstice, which had it's first birthday while we were on it, in Civitavechia, Rome. We booked our stateroom in Aqua class, which allowed early boarding and a separate dining among other things. The boarding process went quite smoothly however it ...

Booked this transatlantic cruise nearly a year ago and began building expectations since then, so by the time the big event arrived, they were pretty high. Incredibly, even these lofty expectations were exceeded. Embarkation... smooth, friendly and less than 20 minutes from drop off at pier to entering our room. Ship... stunning in all respects. Innovative, fresh and the contemporary ...

Solstice is a beautiful ship with many great facilities. Eating in the cafeteria on deck 14 gave good choices and quality of food, but dining in the main restaurant was a disappointment. Despite many complaints the food was serves half-cold every night. Entertainment fell far short of the level we have enjoyed on previous Celebrity cruises. Apart from the Lindsay Hamilton and 'Solstice' ...
