The ship itself is already several years old but it could have been brand new; it is very well kept and spotlessly clean. We chose this cruise because we have done several transatlantics and really enjoyed them. We flew to Rome 2 days early and stayed at the Hotel Diocleziano. We chose this hotel as it is located near Teremini Train Station as we took the train to the port. We had been to Rome several times so we just did our own thing. Really enjoyed outdoor cafes and restaurants.

We are senior couple who have cruised quite a lot on Celebrity, Princess and Crystal. The October transatlantic was quite good. The ship had many Celebrity Captains club members aboard and even the crew had many repeats which made for a happy ship.
